It hasn't been mentioned officially, but I can't imagine that Malone is giving up #12 for Gagne.

Simon did wear #21 playing for Canada. It's currently unused by anyone on the team. If he want's similar "looking" numbers to his old one, #15 and #17 are also available.

I'd go as far as saying nothing is better than Walker and a 4th. Would anybody be upset if we traded Walker and a 4th for future considerations to get rid of his contract?

I know Gags always wore #21 while with Team Canada so he'd most likely wear that during his time in Tampa. Just my $.02.

Well apparently the return for Gagne was awful, but it wasn't Holmgren's fault for being a dumb ass and getting himself in cap trouble, it was for some obscure reason that I, as a lesser being, am incapable of understanding. Other than it has something to do with our defense being awful and them having to rescue Meszaros from a career of mediocrity. I have been schooled! By an HF staffer no less! Thank you once again trade boards for teaching me the error of my ways.

there is no way malone gives up #12 and he shouldn't have too. Gagne will glady take 21..

Great move today by Yzerman. I was skeptical at first but he has blown away my expectations.

Something i thought was interesting. The reason we got Gagne was so cheap in my opinion was because Gagne chose Tampa as the place he wanted to go and since he is in control of his NTC. Holmgren had to oblige.
