I'd have been happy to have him 5 years ago. lol

Personally I'd rather let the kids play.

Yeah, he can want to come to the Rangers, but there is no room for him unless he wants to take a deal similar to Prospal. I'd rather him center the 1st line then Christiansen.

1 year, nothing more. I'd be happy with that.

I'd be happy to take him... on a one year deal under 3 million. We have very few options as it stands right now for the Top 6, and come trading deadline time if we are out of the race (which is a very real possibility) then so long as he is having even a decent season he would be a good trade chip.

No thanks. What happened to the folks who want a spot or two for the kids to win this year.

If we need anything in free agency it is a 2nd line RW, if you folks are not comfortable with the idea of Zuccarello-Aasen or Callahan in that role.

Pass on Demitra. Even if his cap hit was a negative, and somehow managed to pay us to play here.

I like him but I'd have to say no...atleast until after the season starts. If it turns out that non of the kids are ready to earn a spot, I'd take him in oct. or nov...Or maybe in like February when we need to make a push.

I wouldn't trust them too much they swore Therrien to NJ was a done deal like 5 times. Would be a good pick up for you though.

Ha Ha yea I know

At this pt if he comes under 2 million it atleast gives a C for Gaborik

I say do it and I think the Rangers do it on the cheap

You cannot win with this fanbase. You cuss the albatross contracts almost exclusively, complain about trades for worthless defensemen in exchange for worthless forwards (see: Aaron Voros), ask for a mean streak defenseman (but then complain when he gets drafted, see: Dylan McIlrath), complain when the organization doesn't properly develop or let the kids play, and then when we finally have a chance for a few of them to make it, we open the doors to veteran guys way past their prime - simply because there is a chance we might get them cheap.

Cheap, expensive, free. Demitra is trash and not in the future plans for our New York Rangers. Explain LOGICALLY how he helps our team instead of watching some kids (OUR KIDS) grow.

He'll be good for 50-60 points. Depends on the contract.

if Brashear goes to the KHL and off the books and Demitra signs for 1.4 or so how can they not give it a try?

Dubinsky Demitra Gaborik
Prospal Anisimov Zucarello
Avery Drury Callahan
Boogaard Christiensen Prust
Boyle

yes it boots Byers and Weise out of the picture unless a injury occurs. I expct Stepan, Grachev , Weise on the team in 2 years for sure

Isn't Brash on regardless? Unless of a trade to another NHL team.

Agreed. The last thing we should be looking for is a guy to play with Gaborik. We have 3 of them already (Dubinsky, Prospal, Christensen) and I'm sure MZA, Anisimov, and others would benefit from playing with Gabby as well. We should be looking to fill other holes.

He had his chance years ago and was too good for NYR.... please, he and Gabby weren't too good in Minny. Are we gonna regress to the 2006 Wild?
