Leafs let Sweatt walk

Speed never hurts

HF's scouting report

Would you like to see Poile take a chance on this youngster ?

I would, but I wonder what he must be asking for if neither Chicago nor Toronto could get him to agree to a deal.

If it could be done, he could add some offensive promise to the pipeline and is the kind of deal Poile needs and seems to be focused on.

he needs to understand that he has to take a 2 way deal because he'd be signing a rookie-deal

Exactly, Sweatt wants an opportunity to immediately play in the NHL this season. I think one look at our roster and organizational philosophy says...the road to Nashville goes through Milwaukee. Sweatt won't fit here unless he understands that...

Sweatt is an okay, not great prospect. His best hope here would be to somehow jump 5 or 6 other guys and end up on the fourth line.

Not really a fit.
