Greg Stewart signed with the Oilers

Sucks we won't see him anymore, I thought he looked great in his first few games!

He then sucked the rest of the games he played. He doesn't like to fight anymore either...

The laraque effect got this kid. Why does edmonton keep stealing our AHL fodder and tampa keeps stealing our front office?

One of the most overrated Habs prospects in recent memory. If he's not fighting, he's pretty much useless.

Liked him as a player - unfortunate to see him go. Good luck in Edmonton with the Oil.

He fights? How many times did he fight when he was up with the habs? Or with the bulldogs for that matter?

should have clarified my post better, i liked him when we first brought him up, showed some tenacity and fighting spirit, but last season he seemed to have lost something. Seemed like he didn't want to fight anymore.

I agree, but he didn't play a whole lot of games either, the fact he showed us great thing is his first few call ups makes me belive he can do much more than what he did last season.

But yeah, we have much better players than can fill the 4th line ahead of him.

When he played his role, perfect 4th liner. Too bad he didn't play it often enough. Good luck in edmonton.

He was a middleweight but one of the best middleweights in the AHL. He didn't back down from anyone when he was in Hamilton.

There's no room for him on this roster.

I'm not sure where all these comments about him not willing to drop the gloves are coming from. IMO, the thing that worked most against him under JM was that he was abysmal in his own end. He was rarely in the right position and if he was, he had a hell of a time trying chip the puck past the blueline.

Was he even Habs property when last season finished? This guy is a borderline 4th liner at best. Pretty funny that this gets a thread, but I guess that just shows how slow things are.
