If you're referring to me, no I do not hate MPS. Dvorak was a pretty good player that has been plagued by injuries his whole career, plus play-wise he reminds me of MPS. I do expect MPS to score more goals than Dvorak did though.

Dvo did score 30 goals at least once and was always considered a very good defensive player where as that it MPS's biggest weakness right now.

Not to be an *** here, but I might as well point it out that we had the exact same thread less then a week ago

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=798522

But it's summer so really who gives a crap? and it's only competing with the "top prospect #xx", " What new minor leaguer have the Oil signed today", "New line combo idea", and the "WTF is up with the weather" threads.

God I hate this time of year...

I think that was his only season above 20 goals though. He always seemed to miss a lot of games though so that might be the reason why. MPS play style offensively reminds me of Dvo, you're right that Dvo is better defensively than MPS but MPS is only 19, he can always get better.

I think Parise for Hall and Cammalleri for Eberle would be the most valid of current NHlers.

As for MPS, I see Martin Havlat without the injuries (very dynamic).

Not a chance. His style of play resembles nothing close to Richards.

I'd say Dave Bolland is the fairest so far.

They are both skating gods. They both took time to develop.

Keith's vision, passing ability and leadership are something Petry has never been known to have. Petry is more of a mobile rearguard with a heavy shot and nice play down low, he doesn't dominate center ice plays like Keith. Weird comparison again.

He projects more like a Ryan Suter, and even that might be considered a stretch.

Jordan Eberle - Brian Gionta

Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson - Ales Hemsky (Also, i see a little Hossa in him offensively)

Jeff Petry - Tom Gilbert (Hopefully turns into a more physical version).... I could see Burns upside also.

Talyor Hall - Glenn Anderson

Linus Omark - Very Unique Player, i honestly can't come up with a comparison, maybe Samsonov?

Alex Plante - Eric Brewer

Tyler Pitlick - Ryan Kesler

Olivier Roy - Marty Turco

Theo Peckham - Jason Smith

Teemu Hartikainen - Like others have said Holmstrom, maybe Andrew Brunette also

Anton Lander - Joe Pavelski

Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson - Better version of Hemsky

Talyor Hall - Glen Anderson without all of the stick infractions

Linus Omark - Watered down version of Pavel Bure

Alex Plante - Someone mentioned Foster... fair comparison.

Theo Peckham - Poor man's Matt Greene.

Teemu Hartikainen - Going with the majority here with Thomas Holmstrom.

Taylor Chorney - Something between MAB and a poor man's Campbell...

Anton Lander - Something between a Madden and a Peca.

Magnus Paajarvi - Marian Hossa

I am using the comparisons to depict the style/type of player the prospect refects not the offensive output.

Eberle: Daniel Briere, PHI

Hall: Marian Hossa, CHI

Paajarvi: Evgeni Malkin, PIT

Petry: Ryan Suter, NSH

Plante: Rob Scudari, LAK

Pitlick: Ryan Kesler, VAN

Omark: Theo Fleury, (Ret.)

Lander: Henrik Zetterberg, DET

Linus Omark- If Forsberg and Samsonov made a baby

Theo Peckham- Sean Brown, with a better first pass

Devan Dubnyk- Poor man's Sean Burke
