Um yeah, I still don't agree. Quick's bad ones in terms of quantity and quality don't even come close to the ones allowed by Cloutier. I know you aren't talking so much about quantity. Quick had a fine season for the Kings and I am looking forward to seeing how he performs when he can actually get some rest and has a little pressure on him in terms of competition on the same team.

point is...on paper we shouldnt have a punching bag this year...when williams is healthy he is effective

if he doesnt...we cant attribute loses to him like we did when Cloutier was playing, or Raitis Ivanans, or Purcell, or O'Sullivan, or etc

Jack Johnson needs to improve and he will

Quick if he starts slow we will burn him to the ground until Bernier comes

that's pretty much the only player i see that has exceeded expectations and should land back on earth this season

other than that, i see the Kings being able and no 1 player should hold them back...if they play as a team (knowing that alot of western teams have taken steps back) the Kings should succeed!

tis all..

Second this motion.

I feel like I got kicked in the junk 10 times harder today than any time when Randy Jones was turning the puck over or Rat took another dumb ass penalty.

Oh well, been a fan for 30 yrs or so. It just starts to feel numb after a while.

I'm going to go with Dean Lombardi as well, he is going to have to pull a rabbit out of his *** to restore any of my faith in him after his lackluster performance of late...

And what lackluster performance is that? Not signing Kovalchuk? Get over it. It didn't happen.

The funny thing is if they did sign Kovalchuk and couldn't get Johnson or Simmonds locked up as well next season, some of you would be crying about that. Some people are never happy.

Hey... I'm still a Kings fan - I'll still order Center Ice and cheer them on in person when they come to New York. Not gonna lie though, it stings.

Its not so much the Not Signing Kovy part- its how it came about. Rumor has it that we walked away 2-3 times in the first week of FA. If we stayed away, I would have been fine. Its just that DL put his "best effort" forward, and the realization that the Kings "Best Effort" is about 25-30% less than someone else's best effort sucks. It just means that Dean completely misplayed his hand and wasted a lot of time. I would be in a much better frame of mind if Dean came out and said earlier "we can't afford this guy" instead of getting schooled in public.

I'll get over it. I'm still optimistic on the season, and quite frankly, 15-20 teams in the NHL would probably trade their entire roster and farm system for ours.
