lol, So they are demanding a new arena? With a minimum capacity? Quite a demand to make so early.

I think he means a no capacity rink. Just for practice. Not too much to ask, if you have two professional teams and one junior team, they should build at least one more.

exactly, LEV must build a training ring. We can not forget for HK Poprad and their juniors, kids etc.. not only LEV and Tatra Wolves

PS: According to management of club, their name is HC LEV, not HC Lev

Lev will be admitted into KHL next week and will be the only club joining the KHL for 2011/2012 Championship. Brings KHL back up to 24 clubs, assuming no division re-aliments again, they will play in division with the 3 Moscow clubs, St. Petersburg and Riga.

Congrats, will be very interested in what their jerseys will look like, who they will sign and how well the club is supported. Looks like I will be making a trip to Slovakia next winter.

if they have a KHL budget plust the lucrative location in Central Europe gathering a roster would not be a problem

Bartecko have said yesterday he wants and likely will play for Poprad.
For some former older Slovak NHLers will be very interesting to play for Poprad. They would be at home, they would play second best league and they would have KHL contract. Could be very interesting for players like Miro Satan, Richard Zednik or Michal Handzus in near future.

I feel that it will draw even more attention away from the Slovak Extraliga, which really needs to keep as many fans as it can get, whilst raising little money for the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation, and I have serious doubts over what Lev will contribute in regards to juniors.

Attention of fans/media has dropped from Slovak Extraliga for past few years. And Slovak Extraliga has done nothing about raising it IMO. The same about sponsors..

Juniors and LEV- look, LEV is private team, they have team in MHL, but they are not people who should do something with slovak junior development, it is role of SZLH, not LEV.

And look, rumours say that slovak junior champion should participate at Junior Club World Cup if it takes place. Do you think that slovak junior champion would participate if LEV did not exist? I think that it is lobby of HC LEV, not SZLH .. so HC LEV wont contribute to slovak junior hockey?? I dont think so...

Looks like Lev is in for 11/12 season. Slovan is joining starting 12/13.
