You don’t win with one line or two lines. You’ve got to have that depth, because guys can get hurt, guys can be out of the lineup, so it’s nice to have that luxury. The designations don’t really matter, it doesn’t matter if you’re called a second-line center or a third-line center, I think that’s more for you guys [media] to say that kind of stuff, and speculate. As long as you’re playing, and you’re playing well and contributing to the team in some way, positively, I think that’s the only thing that matters. And winning games. When you have a good team, I wouldn’t say it’s one through four. Your fourth line is usually the line that gives you more energy and is a more physical line, and they’re not necessarily on the power play, but it’s just a matter of everybody playing their role and contributing to the team in some way positive."

At the end of the day, we just regrouped and realized that what’s done is done, and that it was time to start new, start fresh. It’s a cliche, but it’s true that when you’re having fun, you’re playing your best. We’ve got a new focus and we’ve got a new direction that we’re going to go in. Everybody is on the same page, and if that breeds a little more fun and guys get a little looser, then so be it, as long as we win. Sometimes getting on the road is great. I know we’ve got a long road trip coming up here, but at the same time, we’ve just to play games. We’ve got to play hockey. That’s the best thing, to get us out of this funk that we’ve been in. Get a game like this, and follow it up with a back-to-back here, and keep playing. That’s what we’ve got to do, keep playing good hockey and get on a roll and see what happens."

I haven’t been doing as much this year as I was last, but you know, sometimes the bounces just don’t go your way, so to be able to pop one felt great. My intent wasn’t to injure him or anything like that. He was flying through the center with his head down and I saw the opportunity to knock him off the puck, and I did just that, and, you know, hit him as hard as I could. But those things are going to happen in a game and it definitely, our team after that, I thought we picked it up and we were pretty dominant from that point on."

We’ve got a big back-to-back coming up, and we need to focus on that."

And everybody followed up on that."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Big stage tonight on Versus.

My beloved Kings shutout the wings 5-0 last time, I'd like to see that again tonight.

... I'll say it - I'm not impressed by the Stars. They haven't convinced me they're anything more than a fluke. We'll see if tonight's the night their luck runs out.

Damn, I hate it when pointless scrums result in injuries. Arg. He's one of the main reason's I watch the team too, mainly because I live in his home town Scarborough and I've watched him play junior hockey aswell. Hope it's nothing too serious.

I've been impressed by the Stars, if only for the fact that they are where they are in spite of stats that say they shouldn't be. I kind of feel dirty about it. It's mainly because of Brad Richards. I'd love to have him on the Kings.

Obviously they've won a crapload of 1 goal games. They've scored exactly one more goal than the kings, given up 6 more goals than the Kings, yet they have 10 more points. That's baffling.

... The third line is a collective -27. That should be the fourth line, in all honesty. Also, Westgarth should be benched in favor of starting Harrold as a 7th defenseman.

Yup. The third and fourth lines made zero sense to me but they are very much par for this season's course for TM.
