Not really. He plays hard and physical, but he's a pretty respectful player.

A bit of both really, it depends on how you'd define it.

He's not Jarkko Ruutuu or Matt Cooke. He's not a dirty player, but he will get under the skin of opponents with his relentless play and physical nature. Just part of what comes along with the role of 'enforcing'.

He's closer in style to a player like Darcy Hordichuk, but I find Konopka's take on it more appealing.

Seems like a class gentleman. I kind of wished we'd kept him.

He's not an agitator but he can kick the agitator's ass if needed.

between him and thompson it was probably best that both went to their respective teams. both are 4th line centers and middleweights. konopka brings more feistyness and fighting majors and thompson brings solid play on the pk and can play 10-14 minutes a game. both are great in the faceoff circle with a slight edge to konopka. isles need konopka more due to playing in a tougher division whereas the lightning play in a physically weaker division so having a tough guy that can play the game well enough is more appealing.

Yeah, I wouldn't call him an agitator or pest because he carries so much class around with him.
