2010-2011 Florida Panthers Prospect Poll #6

Robak narrowly edges out Repik(almost had to invoke a run-off due to winning prospect garnering less than 30%). Sorry for delay today, was away from a computer. I'll have all the past polls/lists/ranked prospects linked at some point tomorrow. Six.

The final list will be comprised of the top 20 prospects followed by 3 honorable mentions. The nature of the poll is there are 10 prospects to select from and you can post who should be added to the next poll.

Used the following requirements for prospect qualification:
1) 25YO or under
2) Played in less than 50 NHL games in career
3) No more than 41 games in a single season.

FLA Prospect Rankings
1. Jacob Markstrom - G [84.78%]
2. Erik Gudbranson - D [73.08%]
3. Michael Grabner - RW [60.42%]
4. Nick Bjugstad - C [50.00%]

It takes a minute. It's a flaw in the thread creation system. You create the thread then it asks you to make the poll, then you get a new screen where you have to create all the options while the thread is open to responses.

I think GR said it was Sept. 10th in one of his blogs. I'm not sure though.

McFarland

The next four names are razor thin close to each other in my opinion so I'll just stick with my first instincts.

I voted McFarland, seems to have a higher upside than Repik.

This is where it gets interesting... Howden, Repik, McFarland, Ellerby, Petrovic...

Very close call here, I went with Howden because I believe he is most likely going to be an impact NHLer... At the very least he will be an impact 3rd liner and PKer, with Brendan Morrow type upside..

Repik is a bit of a wild-card here because I see him with a lot of upside, almost the most here... He and McFarland probably similar type upsides... If they both hit, we could have 2 gems on our hands... It's like playing suited connectors in poker, very dangerous hands, if they hit we win if they don't they flop....

Ellerby an Petrovic could both be impact Dmen, I just love how our prospects are coming together.

It is quite inconsiderate to simply dismiss other's subjective view and also an indication of ignorance that you cannot entertain alternative notions.
