****ing Justin Williams would've been years better than this. And he's in the ****ing conference.

**** Paul Holmgren. **** Ed Snider for keeping Paul Holmgren. **** this whole team. If he isn't fired within the year, I'm done.

I normally defend Homer because I really believe he can see talent and value better than a bunch of people on a message board but this one is just unreal. I just don't get it.

Paul Holmgrem sucks. He is a joke. I would be a better GM.

I'm just speechless. I just don't feel anything anymore because I'm used to it by now I guess. I feel like an emo kid.

I dare, DARE any Homer defenders to defend this **** or even this off-season in general. Come on, please, just try it.

This might be the single worst trade I've ever seen. I mean that in all seriousness. Single worst trade I've ever seen. We traded a two-way, 30-goal, 70-point winger, life-time Flyer for an over-payed, old 7th d-man and a 4th.

Not only that, but we already had seven d-men before this trade so now we have 8 d-men. What in the ****ing hell. That basically makes this trade Gagne for a 4th. A ****ing 4th round pick.

That should say it all.

I'm not kidding, I'm ready to cry. This is horrible.

But hey, at least HF is gonna get a good laugh out of this. Can't say I blame 'em. Is Chris still alive?

Could be that Gagne refused to waive for any other team or at least, only a couple of teams, thus limiting Holmgren's options. He was probably intrigued by playing with so many French players and for a French coach, the bonus of which it would be outside of Montreal.

Still a bad deal, that being said.

How about Meszaros to Tampa for nothing, and the Flyers keep Gagne. I like that better.
this was rather genius.

Tampa manages to unload both the Meszaros and Walker contracts on the Flyers, a $5.7-million cap hit the next three years.

I posted this in the trade board thread, but here's Matt Walkers contract. he's signed for 2 more years after this season.

'10-11: $1 625 000
'11-12: $1 900 000
'12-13: $2 000 000

I'd rather have just waived Gagne than take this waste of space and $2mil cap hit the next two seasons for him.

As a leafs fan, all I can say is that this makes up a little for that Roenick goal.
