MOOSE CAPTAIN MIKE KEANE RETIRES

After 5 seasons in the American Hockey League with the Manitoba Moose and 1,161 games in the National Hockey League, forward Mike Keane's hockey playing days are over.
The Moose are expected to make the official announcement Tuesday, while Keane has been unavailable for comment.
Keane's NHL career started with Montreal in 1988-89 and continued through Colorado, the Rangers, Dallas, St. Louis and Vancouver.
He won 3 Stanley Cups, 1 each with the Canadiens, Avalanche and Stars.
The 42 year old finished his pro playing career with 244 points in 365 games with his hometown Moose.
