THIS! THIS! THIS! THIS IS A REALLY STUPID THREAD!
Leafs dont do this because: They need young nhl top 6 forwards, not prospects
Kings dont do this because: They need help at centre and other than Schenn have NO forward prospects at all.

One of the worst thought out trade proposals I've ever seen.

In no way does this address LA's needs, and in no way is the value fair from a Toronto POV.

Terrible, bad, awful.

I would give up almost anything on the leafs roster for brayden other than Dion, kessel, and schenn the kid looks like he's going to have an amazing NHL career he's just a great all round player and Burke loves him

How do you figure? You essentially trade off point production for a two way game. We need the bigger numbers Kadri can put up.

Hate to break it to you, but Brayden has put up better points in the CHL.

He's big and has size that Bozak and Grabovski don't (if not now, in two-three years). Not only that, but imagine how jacked both those brothers would be to play on the same team? It could end up being very good for the two of them.

As much as I do not like to admit it - this is so true. It's so OBVIOUS!! Make this deal!

This can be the answer to a trivia question, well, just after it happens.

One of the best summer threads - ever (well, in the top 10 at least)

I don't know whether or not it has already been discussed and I know that it would most likely never happen. I just wanted to hear what other people thought. They are only one year apart and were both drafted in the top 5. Luke has more experience than Brayden. Luke has potential to be a top two D-man and Brayden to be a first line center/ winger

Would you do it?
You wouldn't even ask this if they were not brothers so it;s nothing more then a side show

Sorry, I don't see anything here other than a want for brothers. Kadri not only outscored Schenn in the playoffs per game (along with everyone else in the CHL), he literally passed him in the depth charts on the WJC team a few months prior. Why? Because his offensive game is better, while Schenn was better suited for the checking role because of a strong two-way game.

Having brothers (while a cute idea) isn't a recipe for success. Look at the Kostitsyns who may have done worse together. Infact, I can't think of any brother tandem actually thrived together other than the Sedins for obvious reasons.

I think this is more of a light-hearted proposal guys. It's a fun idea, that's all.

L. Schenn for B. Schenn?

No need for either team to do the deal of course, as they both fit into the plans of their respective teams. L.A. needs a solid no. 2 going forward, with the aging Stoll and Handzus UFA in the next few years. Schenn has basically made room for himself on the team.

Kadri and Bozak look to be our two guys moving forward.

If we're trading Schenn I would want a prospect shutdown man coming back of course, which is why this trade wouldn't work, as both players fit into the plans, a trade would essentially be a lateral move, with the other team simply wanting to replace what they have lost.

So, Teubert or Forbort, preferably Teubert, as he's closer to NHL ready, and he's more of a prototypical shutdown man, like Schenn. I imagine L.A. would want a similar guy coming back. Bozask isn't as physical, but he's no pet either and has similar offensive upside.

So, L. Schenn and Bozak for B. Schenn and Teubert?

I think both are Way Over Rated ...add a 3rd team, and deal them both off.

TB:
L. Schenn + Kaberle (Leafs would likely need to add Grabovski)
B. Schenn + Brown

LA:
Vinnie

Tor:
Hedman
Malone

Why's...
TB gets good young talent, and drops cap space

LA gets their 'Superstar'

Tor gets young potential, and a decent forward.

B Schenn + Brown = Vinnie + cap hit/term

L Schenn < Hedman
Kaberle > Malone

I for one am not overly excited about our D prospects, Out of all them maybe 2 have the chance to be a top 3 guy. Hickey and Forbert. Lots of 4-6 prospects but that's it. I would love to get L.Scheen and would go Simmonds, Hickey and a 2nd/Moller to get him. A top 4 of..Doughty and Scuds, JJ and Schenn would be great. This is one trade I hope could go down. I always take crap for it but would love to see it go down.

Edit..Overly excited may be a bit strong. We have a lot of good D prospects, I get that they don't all pan out and you need to keep trying draft wise.We are lucky to have 2-3 young d with potential.

I think Dean Lombardi is already on record about his evaluation of Brayden Schenn and Nazem Kadri:
