It was a good listen and correct me if I am wrong but it sounded like Dean said that Kovy was offered a 13 year deal by LA not 15.

A 13 year deal seems more like it. Deal would take Kovy till he's 40 yrs old. I didn't hear any numbers of what the contract was worth though

$80/13

With $1.5 million being the lowest salary in the deal. Dean said he used Selanne's deal to model the end of the contract.

I heard that and it really does look like DL and Co. did the research and offered Kovy a great and fair deal. A deal that push the Kings into cup contender if accepted by Kovy.

I like Dean's take on it, and his calm reserve, but it is still disappointing in the end. I look forward to what is next, and I really hope it takes place this offseason. I know he was trying to calm the urgency for a rush on making something happen, but our top 6 is just not even close, and if nothing gets done we will run into the same issues we had last season.
