I think Tyrell is going to spend another season in the minors. Which in the long run will be good for him. MAP will replace Tyrell on the roster which will give Dana probably the first call up in case need be. Durno will spend the season in the minors boosting a horrible Ads team and should be replaced by Thompson on the fourthline.

Lundin proved last year hes a decent Number 2 and a really solid number 3. No need to have him on the bottom pair. Hedman should be paired with Kubina on the second, that way he can ease into his role alittle more and not have to worry about lining up against the best night in and night out. Clark will take the number 5 spot and so far for the 6th it looks like it will be a free for all for our defensive prospects to grab, I'm giving the slight edge to Wishart because in my mind hes the most NHL ready out of all of them, and has the highest potential.

I like spreading the wealth as well.

Malone may very well play with Gagne and Vinny but there's also a case to be made for putting Purcell on the second line and Malone on the third.

Purcell's a very fine passer and playmaker with great vision. They're going to need someone to feed Vinny and Gagne.

While......

Malone and Moore would make up two thirds of an awesome third line.

I think you get more out from Malone on a top line than Purcell, it's a bit waste of talent to have Malone on a third line, in that case we can as well trade him in my opinion.

I hear what you're saying and it's probably a given that Malone plays in the top six. I think what a couple of us are trying to say is that you get a much stronger three lines with Malone on the third. He has a better "overall" skill set. Purcell's more of an offensive player who's success hinges on what players they pair him with.

Yep. He became invisnle when they moved him to the 3rd line last season. He puts up points while in the top 6.
