He wants to play in the NHL next season, and according to local media he's heading for Tampa Bay. But the Flyers don't want to let him go, there's still no answer about their plans.
Thoresen is worried he has to return to Russia. Sounds like the Flyers wanna put him back in the lineup, otherwise there's no reason to stop him from signing somewhere else. What do you think will happen?

Btw, OKT's doing great, he sends his regards
Other than his long-term future with the Flyers and in our hearts, I suppose. Hope Europe treats him well.
Good for him. As much as a loved having pat on the team, for what he gave up for us against washington, he really can't help us at all. He doesn't have an offensive game in NA. Very good player everywhere else though, and he should make the most of being a star player elsewhere.
He's actually a pretty good player, and considering the lack of offensive talent in Adirondack, I'd argue he'd be one of the best forwards on the Phantoms. The only guys in the conversation would be Maroon, Nodl, Testwuide, and Legein.
Being the lead scorer in the Russian league I'd find it hard to trash Thoresen..
But he confirmed on tv today that he made a decision to stay in Russia, this couldn't remain a question any longer. He'll return to the NHL next year, as a UFA.

doesn't one have to be an established player to have a comeback?
I'm not sure why people are discrediting his great season in Russia. Noone is saying he is the next Forsberg. He is, however, a much improved hockey player that should some offensive positives that could possibly be a 2nd line player on a bad team / 3rd line energy player on a good team.
