I thought of this just after the recent Gagne departion, this is a complete overreaction and hypothetical (obviously) but let's just say the Flyers completely closed shop tomorrow and disbanded, absolutely no more Flyers forever. Even though it may not happen at first, eventually what team would you move your fandom to? I happen to like the Wild a lot, even the Ducks, but since we all know our who our favorite team is here I was just wondering what everyone's close second was.

Colorado Avalanche.

To be honest, I already like the Avalanche as much as the Flyers, I always have. The only difference is that I live in Jersey so it's a hell of a lot easier to follow and watch the Flyers so the Flyers are my 1A while the Avalanche are kind of a 1B.

My favorite players ever were Forsberg, Sakic, and Hextall (probably in the order) so having Colorado and Philly as my favorite teams probably makes sense.

If the Flyers folded, I'd honestly go on an anti-NHL crusade (or a crusade against those responsible) and end up in prison. **** every other team.

either the wild (love koivu) or the lightening (love gagne) for the time being. i'll be moving out of the philly area after this coming school year so i would make the new local team my first team rather than my 2nd team like i am planning.

It would be evenly divided between the Eagles and Phillies.

Also Phoenix, out of sheer proximity.

I have no idea.

I'd have to think about it.

Probably either Avs or Blue Jackets. I'm sure my family would like them, since they are from Ohio.

Hmm, not sure.

I was born in Phoenix, so I'd go with the Coyotes if it didn't look like they were gonna be moving soon. Maybe the Wild since I live in Minnesota, but I've always been pretty apathetic towards them.

In the end, I'd probably take my fandom to whatever team Mike Richards went to.

JR was my favorite player as an infant, so I followed him from Chicago to Phoenix to Philadelphia and was old enough to dedicate myself to a team, so I chose the Flyers. I have always liked the Hawks and tried watching 40ish games a year, even when they had Daze, Thibault and Zhamnov. I have grown to hate the Hawks for what happened this year in the finals, but I would say I would dedicate myself to them on a marginally less intense level.

I know this is hypothetical, but IF the Flyers folded, that would be a sign that the rest of the league is in serious trouble and probably 25 teams had already ceased operations.

LA Kings.

Within the conference, probably Ottawa.

Used to be the Avs. Now I don't really have another team to cheer for.

Wouldn't stop me from watching NHL hockey, though.

If the Flyers disbanded, you could be assured 29 other teams would cease to exist the same day.

My favorite team would be: Rachel Wacholder and whoever. Though, Misty May and Kerri Walsh is possible.

I think I'd give up the NHL. I follow the Canucks but don't love them, I like Stamkos, Downie, Gags on TB but they'd be long gone if this happened. I just don't know!

I can't imagine being a diehard for any other NHL team, so I'd probably just continue to follow the Kitchener Rangers and cheer for the ex-Rangers around the league.

I was going to say Phoenix, on the chance Bailsillie ever gets his foot in the door.

Chicago Blackhawks then LA Kings

In conference? Carolina Hurricanes

I have liked the Hawks awhile, and them beating us in the SCF doesn't make me hate them. They were beatable, we just got outplayed
