There's the Sutter coached Calgary we all know and love! When the game is out of hand, it's whuppin' time. It has to be killling Oliwa that he can't be out there in a game with no chance of winning.

What the heck is with the Flames? Do they really need to do this kind of thing everytime they start losing? Simon is a dork... wicked crosscheck, and then punches to the head while a guy is on the ice. Dink.

They are totally hanging Kipper out to dry with that kind of behaviour. Why bother?

Nice to see the goon nonsense resulted in a powerplay goal.

yea, you could see Sutter giving our special enforcer Ference special instructions to take out a Tampa player. At least Stillman got a nice asskicking. Kudo's to him for getting up and trying to continue

this is embarressing, the flames don't deserve to win this. Playing like complete *****.

I missed that, but man did Ference lay a beating on Stillman.

Thing I dont' understand is the Flames have come back from fair deficits... so I don't get why they are doing stuff like that so early in the third.

Stillman got what he deserved after the game 1 hit and really got off somewhat easy in the fight considering he "only" fought Ferrence. Although Ferrence did give him a pretty solid beatdown.

Simon looks to pull down when Roy has the advantage... which is probably pretty smart pisses off the guy he's fighting, and saves himself some bruises.

I get the feeling this is going to get ugly. Setting the stage for Saturday.

This series has officially begun.

TB has played a real good game tonight. Calgary had to capitalize on those chances early, they didn't. TB played great the rest of the way, despite some brutal officiating.

Well, Stillman and Roy took increible cheap shots trying to injure players when their team was far behind.

Ference and Simon chose to fight those two face to face.

Hmmmm......

Good job calling the goalie interference refs.

Turtle? He dropped his gloves (which he doesn't normally do) and fell down.

Kipper tasted some of the medicine that the Flames dish out on a regular basis.

Actually, if you roll your Tivo back you can clearly see Sutter asking his guys to fight and highlighting the areas he wanted punched with a laser pointer from the bench.

The great thing about the Flames is that they can play like the Hansons and still beat the higher seeds all the way to the finals. Some teams get self-destructive but because Sutter is so used to this type of play he can reel them back in and get them ready for the next game. They use their emotion to fuel them and when they know they aren't reaching the finish line first, they try to ram the other cars off the road.

Sweet, sweet poor sportsmanship under the guise of "sending a message". Nothing quite like it, eh?

un-sportsmanlike or not, Simon going after Roy was a good thing. Show him that you can't go after Kipper

Let's be honest here. He obviously didn't want much to do with fighting. yeah he dropped the gloves but he went down pretty quick and didnt make much of an attempt to do anything other than sit there and wait for it to get broken up. Ferrence absolutely destroyed him, bottom line. I know Stillman doesnt fight often, but that wasnt much of an attempt IMO.

Don't take that too seriously. While I feel the type of game Sutter wants his guys to play is rapidly going out of fashion I still understand what his players are doing and that they are a strong team.

The team was disciplined enough to wait for the right chance to settle up, and they went head up instead of being cheap about it. I recognize that and I respect the way they are going about it.

BUT any team that has Oliwa on the roster deserves that kind of junk!
