If that was the case it would have been 'roughing', not 'holding', as holding generally doesn't imply the old 'grab the head and chuck' maneuvre.

But anyways, the midget's head is where a regular person's shoulder is. It's not Regehr's fault he has to bend over to play physical.

what do you guys have against Oliwa? if your gonna go after a flames enforcer, go after Simon, he's alot cheaper than Oliwa. I have all the respect in the world for him, played his role to a tee and chipped in the odd highlight reel goal.

To recap:

Stillman left his feet to run Nilson's head into the boards.

On the same play, Roy crosschecked Niemenen into the boards from behind.

And Fedotenko gave Donovan a nice little punch using the butt end of his stick for more force
Didn't see all of the last period, though I did see the Fedotenko stick to the head of Donovan. Looked just like Kobasew's last penalty in this game.

I edited that other post right after I posted it, not because of anything anyone else posted. Someone else responded to the original while I was doing the edit. Big deal. The principle is the same. Stillman got what he deserved. He clearly didnt want any part of that fight but had to drop the gloves. If you're gonna throw a hit like he did, you deserve to pay up like that.

Now did you have anything of substance to say in response to what I said about the "sending a message" comment or are you just trying to instigate?

No, because Roy and Stillman play for the other team.

Speaking of Roy, what is he crying about? Scampanello didnt give him another chance to try and injure someone?

Someone in Calgary check the papers - from the angle I just saw it looks like Kubina just impregnated a Flame on the ice there.

Argh I hate this garbage.

If there is any thing wrong with hockey, it's this ****. Game's over, get the **** off the ice.

I honestly wish that the NHL cracked down on this garbage.

Right. This is getting silly. Calgary is beyond stupid for these antics - each and every time.

Once is a message - this is a circus.

There it is...the Calgary antics after a 1-sided loss......can't they learn to just take a loss and live with it? SJ didnt do it when Calgary was beating them

It amounts to something when Chris Simon is called for any little thing against San Jose because of how he acted in previous games.

It catches up to you.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the Flames are a bit too pre-occupied with paybacks instead of actually winning. I'm not a guy who even thinks Calgary is remotely on the level of Tampa Bay. I wouldn't be surprised if the 'Ning wins the next 3 out of 4.

Of course. Roy going after Ference is obviously Calgary antics...

Roy should go change his diaper and sharpen his lead crosschecking stick for game 3.

Check the thread again for where I talked about understanding what they were doing and talking about the team.

That was before the extra sleaze at the end though. Just when I thought they could elevate themselves a bit and handle things cleanly they finish like that. What message did the crosscheck send? "When we can't win I'll use this thing as a weapon" was what I took from it.

Oh well, you can take the boy out of the country...

Well, watch the replay.. Just because a player is small seems like a stupid reason to allow someone to grab his head....

Whatever... this stuff at the end of the games is really begining to get old. Saying it's just revenge for so and so hitting one of our players is stale as well, especially concidering everyone knows the Flames play a much more physical in your face style, and are happy to pile on the oppositions goalie many times throughout the game. I like the intensity, but gooning it up when you lose is just poor sportsmanship.

Good game by Tampa, coming out alot better than they did in Game 1. Its going to rocking in Calgary Saturday night, should be a great game. I don't want to hear anything about this being a boring series, I love it so far.

Go down fighting = playing hockey. That **** wasn't hockey.

I wish the Flames would just get off the ice and get ready for the next game instead of acting like a bunch of crybabies after every loss.

Exactly. We should be whining to the media making excuses like the Canucks.

I don't think I've seen the flames lose a single game in these playoffs where they haven't resorted to cheap shots at the end.

They should rename Calgary to the Goon Crew. I've lost all respect I had for Iginla and his bunch of goons.

Calgary is an embarassment to hockey with these antics. And Iginla even wanted to go - someone should just punk him, and Calgary will be finished. He's the only one with an ounce of skill on that team.

Nice representation there, Canada. I'd like to see Tampa Bay whip 'em good again next game, just so we can see Calgary lose it yet again.

Take the loss like a man, and stop trying for cheap shots!
