We haven't seen what Jose's capable of on the ground, but I've heard rumblings that it's actually better than his striking which is extremely hard to believe. That being said I believe he definitely has the stand up chops to keep up with BJ's boxing.

It's hard to say at this point since the size advantage of BJ will obviously play a part if this fight hits the match.

I can tell you one thing though when Aldo bulks up and moves to LW in a few years he will be a force to be reckoned with.

I don't know who would win, but this would be the only fight I would pay the price of the PPV to watch. I've been waiting for this fight for too long.

If they fought right now I would pick Penn, but with the way Aldo is progressing and Penn is a little shaky.. I like Aldo's chances a little more everyday.

Which Penn? The uninspired Penn in the Edgar fight? Hard to say. If he shows up with his head in the game though, Aldo's in trouble. That would be an amazing fight to see at 145.

Aldo. He'd leg kick BJ to death. Just like he did Faber. His Jiu Jitsu is off the charts good. We're talking Nog level good. He also has much more natural knockout power than BJ does. I pick Aldo standing or on the ground.

If Aldo's jits is "Nog level good," wouldn't you say Penn's is Verdum level good? He's certainly more recognized.

Penn has fallen out of love with his ground game. I just don't see him matching Aldo on the ground. Maybe this is pure ignorance since we never see Aldo ever on the ground, but I'm going to blindly buy into the hype for once (something I never, ever do with fighters). Everything said about Aldo's ground game is that it's on another planet from most.

Either way, this fight NEEDS to happen sooner rather than later.

A shame we'll never get to see Jose demolish BJ now that BJ's chased out of lightweight. Oh well.
