Broad Street Bully Documentary

Sorry, I had to special order hbo to see this in Canada, thought it was worth discussing:
1.anyone else get Geary eyed hearing 'the Philadelphia flyers have won the Stanley cup'? I did! Not in my lifetime......yet!
2. Bobby Clarke seemed oddly similar to Richie! Even the 16 vs 18 thing...
3. Oh, to have a goalie win a big game all by himself...
4. I always hated that hurricane and lightning fans won the cup so early until now! That is exactly what happened in 74, and why we are so passionate today

great piece! Loved it, truly! Especially here in July with no hockey... Sorry, gotta go....replay

You're a little late.

But yeah, it's an awesome documentary. I'll have to rewatch it again soon and hope it holds me over until preseason.

Not sure if this info has been released but will they be selling this any time soon (hopefully on Blu Ray)?

ahhh back when the Flyer organization thought goaltending meant something.
dont think we were giving away 2nd round picks back then either. because you know. they wanted to build up our prospect pool.

Sports Illustrated did a rundown on the 25 most hated teams in sports history. 1974-75 Bullies clock in at #4 only behind the 1986 University of Miami Football team, the 88-89 Detroit Pistons and the 1992 Dallas Cowboys.

The only other hockey team on the list is the 2001-02 Toronto Maple Leafs. I do believe however that the 1976 Red Army team or the 1980 Russian Olympic team could have been on that list as well.

I teared up when I Kate Smith started singing, the tradition of our organization is something to truly be proud of, even if you weren't alive for it (I'm 22).

my dad was at one of the games where she sang, and he says he thought the Spectrum was going to collapse afterwards

Sports Illustrated has a list of 25 most hated teams in sports history and the 1974-75 Flyers finished fourth.
