Visor Spacers

So I'm trying to fit an Itech pro wave visor on an Easton S9 large and it just won't work as is. I'm thinking about heading down to home depot or something and getting some rubber washers to use as spacers.

It looks like there's at least a half inch of space (maybe more?) on each side I need to fill up for it to fit so I'd also have to get longer screws.

Will longer screws work/be an issue? Is it even worth trying to get this shield to fit or is it too big for the helmet?

Have you already used the spacers that come with the pro wave?
