Uhm, what I've ready everywhere is that he hurt his knee. I assumed it to be true. We'll see anyway.
Yeah, that's what they released it as post-game. I watched the game though. Markov was grimacing and favouring his left shoulder when he tossed the gloves off, not his knee. Not saying he didn't tweak his knee there (obviously it needs some work), but if they release it as an "upper body injury", that's something the opposition can legally target in on with hits/contact. Not too much you can legally do to target a "lower body injury", and we all know coaches/management play these games with injury details, especially in the playoffs.
Mike Cammalleri 42-39-81
Tomas Plekanec 23-54-77
Andrei Kostitsyn 33-40-73 (Doesn't have to worry about little Sergei anymore, starts sniping)
Scott Gomez 14-50-64
Brian Gionta 24-38-62
Benoit Pouliot 22-21-43
Lars Eller 10-24-34
Max Lapierre 14-15-29
Dustin Boyd 12-12-24
Tommy Pyatt 5-13-18
Travis Moen 7-11-18
Ryan White 47GP 3-5-8
Mathieu Darche 35GP 4-3-7
I can see White and Darche spliting time a lot. I figure Pacioretty, Palushaj, Maxwell, Desharnais and Engqvist might see some time with injuries, but you never know for how many games. So it's hard to do stats.
Andrei Markov 12-37-49 (~70 games)
PK Subban 14-27-41
Jaro Spacek 8-25-33
Roman Hamrlik 6-22-28
Josh Gorges 3-20-23
Hal Gill 1-12-13
Ryan O'Byrne 0-10-10
Yannick Weber 12GP 1-4-5
Total= 258 Goals For give or take Call-up goals and injuries
Carey Price 32W 2SO
Cedrick Desjardins 8W 1SO (Replaces Auld by Xmas. Someone starts this thread: Cedrick Desjardins vs Carey Price... After his SO)
Alex Auld 6W 0SO
Realistically, the habs have been on a roller coaster for the past 15 years.
Since last year was not so good and ended well. Since we have a similar core and that that core is no made up with Czerkawski and Latendresse and otehr non caracter players.
I believe that we're due for a very good year.
goals
Camm 40
Gio 35
AK 25
Plek 20
assists
Gomez 60
Plek 50
Markov 50
notable :
Eller 45 pts
Subban 46 pts
Boyd being good.
Pouliot stinking up the joint, but Latendresse coming down to earth, so no biggie.
Price plays well. Well enough so that we don't look consistently in St-Louis. He is not "stellar", but is more steady.
Boyd's career high is 22 points in 71 games (25 in 82)
Pouliot would have finished with 50 on the pace we was at after the trade.
Very interesting prediction
I stick with it because I think Boyd will end up playing with Gomez and Gionta and if you take it this way Pouliot career high was 11 points before playing with the Gio,Gomez combo.
