Every Vancouver Canuck playoff game from 94 was amazing. The whole playoffs that year was pure entertainment, with a lot of nail biting results. I've never seen so many playoff OT games in my life. The Canucks were winning and I was in my glory. That was until I heard the infamous "PING".

94 Vancouver vs Calgary
94 New York Rangers vs Devils
94 Vancouver vs New York Rangers

2009 Pens v. Caps 2nd round

IT was the Crosby and Ovechkin show and it was amazing. Each with a hat trick in one game. Both scoring almost 2ppg.

I thought of this one too.

'50 Red Wings - Rangers was a great series.

I enjoyed Jets - Oilers in the Avco cup too.

It's a shame that eastern Canada missed out on this gem. This series predates timeshifting, so the east got Buffalo/Ottawa (which was a hell of a series in its own right!), while the west was treated to Edmonton/Dallas.

For me it was the 04 series between the Flames and Cannucks with the Flames making it back for the first time in 7 years and it going the distance and OT and the Flames winning it for once when the Eliminator ended it all....Glorious I will never forget that moment.

1994 series between New York and Vancouver. THN pegged it as the best Cup finals ever in an issue a few years back.

1993 Campbell Conference Finals between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Los Angeles Kings was one of the most entertaining and dramatic 7-Game Series I've witnessed. It was so hard hitting and vicious, even the coaches (Barry Melrose and Pat Burns) were ready to kill each other. It would also be what Wayne Gretzky considers to be 99's greatest game.

Amazing that both of those Game 7's were played on the same night, what a great day for hockey!

That Stars-Oilers series was just mesmerizing. I know the Oilers went out in the 2nd round that year, but man Cujo should have still received Conn Smythe consideration just for his performance in that round. I'm kidding obviously, but that was one of the greatest displays of goaltending over a 7 game series that I have ever had the pleasure to witness.

I think that any one of the Leafs vs Wings Blues Kings are my all time favourite series since I am a Leaf fan and that whole playoff run was amazing.

They Leafs that year were so gritty and determined and hard working to make up for their lack of pure talent.. its a shame they got ripped off a Finals appearance. I've never seen a player play better than Gilmour during that time.. not even Gretzky or Lemieux. Although I am biased.

I also remember being really into the 87-88 Finals and hoping Philly would pull off the upset. (I thought the Oilers were a cocky bunch of showboaters at the time.. wasn't till later I sort of had the realization they were just crazy good).

1991 Oilers - Flames is another classic that needs mentioning.

Tough to beat 1994 ECSF.

Two best teams in hockey. Two of the best offenses. Two of the best defenses. Two if the top-4 defenseman. Two top goalies in their prime. Local rivalry. 54-year curse. Three games go to OT (2 in double OT), two games tied in the last minute of regulation, including Game 7 with under 10 secs left.

Messier's Game 6 is one the greatest clutch performance in playoff history.

So many story lines, but the hockey was great because the Devils trying to trap that season's best skill team was truly a sight to see.

Meh. I'm biased.

I really don't know how any Rangers fan managed to endure the unbelievable stress that come with that 94 cup run. I couldn't handle it.

A few ones that come to mind (some are decently biased, since I'm relatively young and a Rangers fan):

87 Oilers-Flyers
93 Kings-Maple Leafs
94 Rangers-Devils
94 Rangers-Canucks
94 Flames Canucks
96 Red Wings Avalanche
97 Stars-Oilers
00 Devils-Flyers
01 Devils-Avs
04 Canucks-Flames
06 Hurricanes-Oilers

I might agree if Game 7 of that series wasn't so terrible and anti-climatic.

I can't believe only one mention of the 1987 Stanley Cup finals. It's widely regarded as one of the best series of all time, if not the best period.

The fact that Washington laid such a massive egg in game 7 automatically precludes it from being in any best of discussion I could ever have.
