So I just read some of Nik's posts about bugged players.

In one he says that a player's AVG will only rarely exceed his TRV.

Does that mean a 19 year old dman with 69 AVG and 69 TRV is likely already done his bloom?

Btw, I loved how the Flyers forums ganged up on the European brown nosers in that thread, funny stuff guys.

Isn't EHM dead? At one point it was, along with Out of the Park Baseball, the best simulation game on the planet. However, OOTP has turned into something spectacular and EHM is ancient by computing standards. Sure, I guess there are patches and mods but it's running on 2006 code and I think it lacks things like the ability to have full-fledged online leagues like OOTP and is missing a ton of features that should be in any sports sim.

I play a ton of OOTP and it's amazingly fun online. It's too bad that there isn't a hockey equivalent.

What's with the salary jumps again? I'm barely scraping by now. Made it to the finals with a solid team that I may need to ditch?

does anyone know why they are making such a big deal over the match viewer? from the pic (http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/1959/mvss.png) it seems like the only new information it adds is a possession meter. apparently they are taking this from TM, for those of you that play TM is the MV that helpful or informative? It seems like mostly an aesthetic thing.

L-Train, you've had some **** luck so far.

There are way too many games like this... teams getting totally dominated yet winning.

Lose 6-3 to the 8th seed in the first game of the finals despite even shot totals and me having a slightly better goalie (and MUCH better defense).

It seems like whoever loses the first game is almost destined to lose the series... this kids team is going to get relegated right back down after next season if he moves up this season, too. Other than an absurd 88 epa winger his team SUCKS, has been so lucky all playoffs (looking back at previous series).

Ugh, Morgan's inconsistency is KILLING me. 3 goals on 12 shots? Come on... Granted, two were PP goals, but still... you should save more than 75% of what comes your way when you're as good as he is.

I took way too many penalties today, too.

This is why routine matters

Anyway, up 1-0 in the finals after a 7-4 win in which I forgot to finish setting up my tactics. I changed my lines back to how I normally have them, but forgot to change the line matchups and the two lines who were matched up wrong struggled a lot. Four goals from my fourth line offset that nicely, though.

His routine is over 22. It's not exactly ******. Not great, but not horrible. By Nik's logic, I believe he should be a solid player by now.

Looking at the game, all the goals were scored by his third and fourth lines. I also don't understand why he gets home ice advantage when I had a better regular season record. Better record in the playoffs, maybe?

By the way, after playing EHM, it's shocking how much of TH is really just ripped off of that. I'm surprised they haven't been sued yet, but I bet it's just a matter of time, unless EHM has been released as public domain.

An updated, new EHM would be a ****ing wet dream for me. You can literally play that game for hours, hitting the spacebar advancing days like a ****ing retarded monkey, and its still amazing.

Its so deep, they have so many players and leagues, and its all ****ing real. For ****s sake, a kid from my HS was in that game.

But yeah, it did once have support for private leagues and stuff, which is cool. When I first started playing TH, It felt just like a stripped down EHM, which was cool, and why I picked it up a little quicker.

EHM was the best though.

Fantasy Draft. Peter Forsberg 1st round. Playing like 8 more seasons with em, win cups and ****.

then hire him as my headcoach. ****ing awesome.

I drafted AO #1 overall, then got Forsberg in the third round, after I picked up Pronger in the second. I can't seem to get my power play working very well at all, though, no matter what I do. My #1 PP is Forsberg, AO, and Daniel Alfredsson or however you spell it... you'd think they'd destroy ****.
