Quailer.

Why? 6'3 Winger with speed. Any questions? Check out the HF report on him:

Quote:
Quailer has excellent breakaway type of speed and a good stride. He has good hands and shoots the puck well. He has good playmaking ability, good vision and is able to play any one of the forward positions. He utilizes a very quick release, not generally winding up but is able to snap the puck from all areas of the ice. Quailer is very strong on the puck and is able to protect in the corners.

The Colorado native is naturally strong but he still needs to fill out his frame. He hasn’t been working out off the ice as some players might be doing at this point in their early careers. It has been noted that he should focus on going hard to the net and burying the puck when he gets his chances. Once his confidence levels rise a long with maturity, he’s appears to be a strong diverse power upfront.
Add Fortier.

I'm pretty high on quailer as well, I just have to wait and get some reports on him after last season's injury to see if he's been set back any. Had he not been injured, he may have slid into this very top 10.

Carle for me, just because I think he is absolutely NHL ready but just a matter of whether or not he can stay healthy.

Thougher picks now since I, like most of us I suspect, have barely seen any of these players play.

I did like Quailer a lot when I saw him in dev camp 2 years ago ; but with the injury now, big question mark...

I vote Carle since he's so close to NHL ready ; and hasn't look totally out of place when he was with us briefly

engqvist, I think he will have the best chance at being a nhl player because even if his offensive game doesn't translate, he still is a defensive *****, like Malhotra.

Oh, I didn't know Emelin was still considered a prospect. In that case, in terms of his potential and NHL readiness, he's easily a top-5 Habs prospect. As soon as he says he's coming over, he'll be considered such and will easily replace Hamrlik in the top-4.

I voted Emelin because until he sign a new contract with the KHL he still have chance to come over here next year.

and I think he should be top 10

One thing's for sure, Carle is commited and what he battled through might make the difference in terms of how he'll react to full time NHL duty if he can make it out of camp. His perseverance has to be praised, it's not something you see with every player.

I voted Enqvist. I've simply liked what I've seen of him, I think he's got the highest NHL potential that's left.

This is why I don't get. If it's about upside, then the order is all wrong.

People here keep flip flopping on why they're picking people.

I can understand potential vs realistic projection. I just don't know why people vote people because they are 'closer'. Kind of irrelevant IMO.

They go from closer, to where they're playing to potential to something else. They don't use one common factor to vote. Why not just vote on which prospect that remains that you like the most ffs.

Honestly, this ranking is botch.

Tough choice, but I took quailer over Carle.
I'd like to add Bishop. IIRC size was an issue
in him not being drafted. He seems to have grown
since then. For this reason I'm hopeing we have a
steal.
