2009-10 Van Canucks NHL 59 11 11 22 21 12 4 1 5 0
He missed 23 games last year, but the years before he didn't miss much due to injury.

08-09 he played 81 of 82
07-08 he played 76 games
05-06 and 06-07 he was between NHL/AHL and was scratched a few times I think

The concern with him is consistency and intensity. He has the size and tools to score 30 and be a force physically but it only shows up about 1/3 of the time.

Bernier? lol Maybe they're trying to save face in front of their french audience. I would play him D. No joke, if we get Bernier, I would play him D. Because he can't score anyway. He's not useful in front of the net on the PP, even if they tried and tried to have him do it. He's not the fastest skater. But he has grit and we have nobody that hits in our D core except Gorges. Nucks fans say he's not even consistant with his hitting but as a D he'll have no choice but hit when the guy will get close to him along the boards. And he'll get cheered for it. If he doesn't score as a forward, fans will say he's another Lats(slow, lazy).

Steve Bernier is a right handed Latendresse. Draw your conclusions from there...

They are opposites, Bernier arrived and produced a lot early then has declined ever since. Latendresse has improved his goal and point per game totals each year.

If he was a RH Latendresse I'd trade Pouliot for him in a millisecond.
