If you take out the two 2nd round picks....I still don't think L.A. would make that deal.

Wild say no.

They aren't rebuilding.

And if they were, why would they trade away two young players?

great deal for the wild if we were rebuilding, but we aren't. You could get more elsewhere for that package, LA.

Take out Hickey and I still wouldn't do that.

Not quite sure what Brodziak is supposed to bring the Kings?

It's not even a good deal if we are rebuilding.

I'm pretty sure the point is to trade away older players. Not guys who haven't even hit their prime.

Brodziak definitely has potential to be a Horcoff-like center. In the 20 games or so he played with Lats and Havlat, he was on like a 70-point pace. He won't ever hit that number, but he's got the makings of a 40-point 3rd center who's production could go up if he's pushed on the higher lines.

And Barker young and has huge potential (even if I personally think he'll never get there).

2 2nds, is big. Even if they are lower 2nds for a team devoid of any prospects. Weal is decent and Hickey is an intriguing piece.

While losing Brodie might hurt, he can be replaced. And Barker, he is not worth the contract he has. I rather move him and get some cap space relief.

Brodziak was never on a 70 point pace. He's a 10-15g and 25-30pt guy who can play center or right wing, either a third/fourth line guy depending on the team.

what the? how on earth did you come up with this trade??

If Hickey hadnt been injured for a good chunk of last year, hed be a lock to make it to the NHL. Although his standing dropped a bit because of it, hes still one of the best dman prospects out there and were not trading him unless our team receives an upgrade..

also, you have Weal, whos potential is still widely unknown... based on last year, it looks like he has the potential to be a star player and i see no way we get rid of him at this point...

then you want 2 high picks? im not sure us Kings fans would do this trade even without the 2 picks....

this is lopsided no matter how you look at it....
