Ties to Weber like he said and also it'll be easier to shuffle players around with the Amerks if there's any injuries/callups.

Suppose it's more convenient, but I have mad love for the Everblades.

Also means we can keep more reinforcements for the Amerks ready instead of all those ATO's from last season, should make it easier when callups do occur, like I said in the other thread Tallon really is trying to establish the developmental system and reinforce the winning traditions of both the Amerks and Cyclones IMO.

I'm a little disappointed. I plan on going to at least on Everblades game, this year. It would have been nice if the Panthers were still with them. Oh well. It'll still be fun.

Can't say I have anything to say about this new affiliation. Like others have said, it will be more convenient for Rochester...even if for only one year.

Good news if we are the primary affiliate, but I don't think we are. I hope it's not like it was with the Everblades. It would be good for us to have a decent prescence with an ECHL team too, that would really build up our developmental system.

Nashville is their other affiliate.

Nashville only had three prospects in Cincy last year. Mackinzie, Flynn, and Jeremy Smith.

Hmmm....You can already see the marks of Santos on this team from his connections w/Nashville. He probably pushed hard for Tristan Grant because he knew him from the Nashville system. Then Weber. Now Cincinatti. And we are playing Nashville's rookies in two exhibitions in rookie camp.

Man, I feel bad for everyone in the state of Ohio. They go from LeBron James to a Florida Panther affiliate...harsh!

With the sheer number of players we have that turned pro this year, I think we'll have a little larger presence in Cincinnati this season, but Florida is definitely the primary affiliate.

In addition to MacKenzie, Flynn, and Smith...the Predators also had Mark Dekanich there for a weekend and Mark Santorelli spent a little time there as well. Several players bounced between Milwaukee and Cincinnati, but the majority of the team was made up of Montreal prospects and ECHL free agents...

Geez, if the Flyers are known as Nashville North...I think the Panthers are turning into Nashville South pretty quick...

So, Carolina Hurricanes has Florida Everblades, and Florida Panthers has Cincinnati Cyclones. Upside down world.

Makes sense. The players all say Calgary is far more country western than Nashville...

Very nice. I guess this is where Chevrie might play next year? I don't know, I always assumed NCAA was higher caliber hockey then the ECHL.

You thought college hockey was a higher level than professional hockey?

Prepare to have your mind even more blowier.

Carolina Panthers. Florida Panthers. Caroline Hurricanes. Miami Hurricanes.

PS... blowier passes spellcheck. But spellcheck doesn't. Whoa.
