This is the 80's-early 90's white jersey. The lettering is different, being blue with a red contour instead of the white contour they use currently.

Just a guess, but I'd assume most canuck fans think its funny, not solely for the fact it is ugly (which is opinion), but mainly for the retaliation of all those hurtful things those nasty flames fans have said about our jerseys. Yes, we know we have ugly jerseys. You and many, many people have made sure we know that . And now we finally have some dirt to use on the flames. Who in my opinion had never had a bad jersey until this one.

Clearly, the Flames are sending a subtle signal to the Blues to trade them Andy McDonald...

Nothing wrong with those at all. I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't have been allowed to use the original colors anyway, even for one game, due to conflicting with Boston/Pittsburgh.

The tan pants are a little off, but otherwise I think it's pretty cool what they did there. They already wear their throwbacks a few times a year, why not dig deep back into hockey history for something like an outdoor game?

It's not as terrible as some of you are making it out to be. I'm not sure where the beige pants color is coming from, although it would be representative of the time. I'd expect it to come out looking darker IRL.

Maybe they can wear brown colored helmets to, which would emulate the early leather helmets.

For a one-off, outdoor event, it'll do.

You can see on the original Tiger's uniform that the gloves and skates were dark leather but the pants were a lighter color. I guess that's the origin of the tan pants.

The one good thing about this Ronald McDonaldland Jersey is...no black. Black is the scourge of the NHL aside from the teams that should be wearing them (Kings, Lightning, etc)...all of those teams that introduced it into their unis after the 90s ruined their jerseys.

Those are terrible. The first thing they reminded me of were the Montreal prison jerseys.
Maybe it's a plan to attract Wellwood

So why can't the Flames wear their 80s jerseys? I mean, I know why, $$$$ when they sell new ones, but it would have looked a lot better.

Beige pants is coming from the Flames website:

The Flames will also wear a beige hockey pant to complete this traditional look.

Did teams in the 20s honestly wear beige coloured pants? Because double-you-tea-eff is all I can say.
