I think the NHL should be on ESPN in some capacity whether it's a weekly double-header or select playoff games. But yeah, I think an exclusive deal with ESPN kinda sucks for the reason already stated. Versus isn't great, but they've done a decent job and should remain the main carrier for both the playoffs and the regular season.

Aren't CW network agreements different in each city? Like it's not a single network with synchronized programming nationwide. I know in Chicago at least the CW is actually WGN9, which carries different programming from WGN America 90% of the time. Not to mention they carry Blackhawks and Bulls games during the fall/winter, and Cubs/Sox games during the spring/summer.

As far as down here, the CW here does air Lightning games if not sporadically.

Not going to happen, but the cross-promotion opportunities would be pure gold.

Imagine the America's Next Top Model hamsters getting sent to a pho-to shoot at the local ice arena where they're told to smize and be all fierce, but not too athletic, while wearing ball gowns, ice skates, and getting body checked by Chris Pronger. (I suspect I'm one of few ANTM viewers here, but sometimes television junk food is a good thing)

Supernatural- the brothers investigate a mysterious murder at an ice arena, blundering into Roberto Luongo in the act of selling his soul to a demon in exchange for actually making it to the Western Conference Finals.

Hellcats- there's got to be a plot somewhere involving a player and a cheerleader just over the age of consent.

Nikita- the latest round of Nikita's cat and mouse game with Division is played out in the rafters above Rogers Arena.

Think I'll close this thread in favor of the one discussing actual negotiations.
