Wendy's Frosty Score for Four replaces Drive for Five
Quote:
Nashville Predators are proud to announce in conjunction with their partnership with Wendy’s restaurants that the Frosty Score for Four will return during the 2010-11 season to reward all fans in attendance when the Predators ramp up their offense.
During 2010-11 home games, anytime Nashville hits the four-goal mark in a game, all fans can take their game ticket to a participating Wendy’s location for a free small Frosty Dairy Dessert.
at Columbus when I went there several yrs ago the Jax only had to score 3 goals to get the Wendys prize (which was discounted chili i think)
yea for better odds of free stuff!
In Hartford it used to be chili too for five goals, but when the Whalers left they switched to Frosty's which made little sense when it was regularly below freezing outside the arena...still we had to score five goals to get it.
Wendy's will actually make more money this way and get better exposure. How many of you bought something else off the dollar menu when you went to redeem your ticket for a Frosty?
Another interesting facet here is that you can redeem your ticket for a free Frosty up to one week after the game. I always thought it was limited to the next day...
I like tacos better, but as long as we get four goals I'll be happy to eat the frozen ice cream.
Meh, Taco Bell didn't renew their sponsorship and Wendy's stepped up to the plate. All the more power to them. Gotta support those that support the Preds IMO...

Cool, creamy and refreshing. Made with real milk, nothing satisfies more than this Wendy’s original.
The Milwaukee Admirals did the same thing a few years back. They had the Frosty Five and then when the team hardly scored five goals, the next year they made it the Frosty Four heh

I believe that this is a true stroke of genius by Wendy's. Finally a corporate sponsor has spoken out about our lack of a power play. I wonder if this was precipitated by our continued blind faith in the power play coach, or trading Arnott, so that our power play is totally one dimensional (give Shea the puck and let him blast).
I like the subltety of the approach. Don't come out and criticize our lack of a power play or its coach. Let's just lower our expectations and hide behind an assumption of an increase in sales on the dollar menu.
I hear rumors (from my dogs) that if things don't get better on the power play this year that next years slogan will be Frosty Score One on the Power Play. (This will also be granted on away games, all we will have to do is show up at the next home game).

LMAO!
Maybe we should start a new OT thread with marketing suggestions for Predators sponsors? What better way to pass the rest of the summer?
I say Dunkin Donuts should create a sponsorship with the Predators for our PK...if the team is perfect on any given night for the PK...all fans in attendance win a free donut...

I remember the owner of the new franchises in the Nashville area (not sure if they're all under the same owner or if they have multiple owners throughout Middle Tennessee) came to the then Sommet Center during the Save Our Team rally and purchased season tickets and threw his support behind the team on the radiothon...so why not?
I think we have a ton of creative people on this board. If we can plant a seed in someone's mind that lands the team a new sponsorship...why not?

Good idea! Or how about if we shutout a team at home we get a donut, you know, representing a "0"? Bear with me here. That would have been...what...4 free donuts last season? I can't remember but that number seems about right.

I believe that's the promotion elsewhere, I was looking for something a little unique...
Oh, thats right, Liquid Ice or whatever its called.
Yes, Liquid Ice...that's it! I thought that might have been the name, but wasn't positive. I'll be honest, I never touched the stuff...I prefer a good old fashioned cup of coffee!
