Funny, the video clearly shows couturier scoring and Leblanc getting credit. Leblanc actually only scored 1 goal.

Actually, TSN gives him the hat trick believing that he should have the goal on the Couturier's shot which he shouldn't have. Clearly, on the resume, they mention Leblanc 2nd goal as wrist shot over Visentin's glove, which TSN doesn't show on their replay. So it's more 2 goals than the hat-trick 'cause it goes in on the Couturier's shot for sure.

Seriously? Fans not hyping a performance is preferable to a kid getting valuable experience?

It all depends on the management if they make the same mistake they did with Price. Not the fans. Nobody asked for Price to skip the necessary steps.

Sorry, but it makes no sense whatsoever. I guess you're totally happy that Tinordi didn't make it then....Do we really need, as fans, the WJC to hype our kids? How many WJC did Avtsin play in?

In before Angelo Esposito.

I guess your stock of canned foods and survival goods is pretty much full.

It's a good thing though, we'll need all the hockey development experts we can get after the big ka-boom.

Sarcasm my ***.

But I wish him a good WJC too !

I'm starting to believe he might end up being a steal in his draft year, like TSN was saying when he was drafted. I didn't like his Harvard decision, but does anybody think it might have lowered his draft rank ?

top 5 pick if he doesn't go to harvard.

LOL - you like to overreact at both ends of the spectrum I guess? It was one scrimmage - he wasn't a bust going into the camp, and he won't be a guaranteed star leaving it.

why can't folks reserve staunch opinions on players until they actually see them play?

I don't understand why we're talking about this...
I mean it was not even a real game, not a game, and we're sitting here talking about a practice....

I was at the game last night, Leblanc got credit for two goals but as the replay showed on TSN, the shot that got through and he poked in an empty net was already in, so he really only scored one goal while Couturier should have been given credit for two.

It doesnt matter though, that line played a very solid game, Leblanc looked solid, multiple times going hard to the net. He is not the biggest guy out there but he works hard, both in the corners and crashing the net for rebounds.

One slight criticism of Leblanc is that he doesnt have the smoothest skating style, looks labored, especially on the backcheck. Its not a deficiency but for the first time for me to see the guy play, I thought he was drafted as more of a speedy player.

His linemate, Couturier is gonna be a player. Wish the Habs could get their hands on this guy, smooth skater, slick hands, and good size, made him hard to handle all night, easily first star of the game in my opinion.

Brandon Gallagher although very small, surprisingly plays a very competitive game. He was always goin straight to the net for rebounds, was first on the forecheck most times on his line, was very impressed with his game. Don't know if his size will translate to the NHL, but he was well worth the draft pick

But....the highlights show Couturier scoring two goals.....including a wrist shot over Visentin's glove. Plus...it was 3-2 after one and Leblanc was supposed to have scored twice, but they showed both goals his line scored and he really only had one...the highlight shows the third goal of the period....he shovelled it in after it was across the goal line.

All three goals the Couturier line scored were shown..and Couturier should have gotten credit for two of them.

My bad, I was under the impression they gave leblanc that goal and '3rd goal' was a typo. Leaving him with 1 real goal, 1 fake goal(not his) and a typo goal.

Good job LL. I was talking to a kid who plays against him in the states, and he was telling me that he was no good. I was a little disappointed at the time, but it looks like he was wrong.
When is the next scrimmage?
