oh and glen anderson was there last year too taking pictures with the stanley cup banner...they also let you take pictures with the retired # banners, which means it will be the first chance to get a photo standing in front of richter's #35 banner...

let me know if they say when the tickets will be sent out

also just to note that the deadline for responses was june 7th...so they might have waited till after that date to send them all out at once meaning early next week they can be expected

Does anyone have extra tickets?

Were there scalpers at the door in previous years selling tickets?

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but the time I went, they only covered the first round, which you could watch onTV in your own home. They never went into the second round, which I imagine they could do due to all the hype we have over it. I went to the Draft in Buffalo when we picked Manny and it was awesome, The one in Toronto where we had no first rounder, and the draft party at MSG where we got Brendl and Lundmark. The organization showed real class by trading the two guys that had showed up to sign autographs, Cloutier and Sundstrom, while they were still signing autographs. It was bush league, but the funniest thing happened. I was sitting behind this girl who was probably 20 or so, wearing a Sundstrom jersey. They announced the trade and this girl was PISSED. She was wailing about how Sundstrom was her favorite player, how he was so cute and all, and how mad she was. Then they announce the selection of Lundmark and show his picture with his boy-band looks, and the girl completely changed her tune. I guess we're all fans for our own reasons. Anyway, I just booked my flight and am all set to spend draft weekend in Raleigh. If you've never actually gone to the draft live, I highly recommend it. It feels great to be in the center of the hockey universe, to know you are where all the action is. You can actually see the deals being made, watching who's on the phone with who, etc. Just a great time for a hockey geek like myself.

Wow, that sounds exciting. How do you actually get into the draft? Do you buy tickets or how does that work?

got my tix today for draft party, the letter said that jessiman, blackburn, murray, kasparaitis, dom moore, ortmeyer and ranger alumni barry beck will be there...

should get updates on blackburn's shoulder and maybe some insight on jessiman's plans for next year...

one name that is missing is lundmark, who has been there each year since his draft. now that might mean nothing and in the past the list of players has changed on the day of the event but given the rumors about him it makes me wonder...back in 99, cloutier was at msg ready to walk on stage when they told him he just got traded, could lundmark be staying home to avoid that potential scenario??
