Sounds like Polanco is getting close to being back.

It would be great if Happ could get the mechanics figured out and give us another option.

Also, why does Jayson Werth have to keep dealing with fans screwing him over? The guy who caught his would-be double today was really bad, still trying to get applauded for his stupidity.

I'm pretty sure that play ended up as a double, but would've been more. Unless I'm totally just making up that memory.

Considering all the crap that's gone wrong, 47-40 at the break and 4.5 games back isn't too bad. If they improve 3-4 wins on their 1st half performance (and frankly, they really should), they'll win 91-92 games and probably make it in.

Going out to Chicago on Tuesday for the series against the Cubs. Going to the games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and coming home Sunday.

Should be a lot of fun. I've never been to an away game for any of my teams besides seeing the Flyers at Devils.

No, you're right. That's what I implied, but my wording sucked. I mean the hit that would end up ruled a double.

Yeah...Happ is not going to be fixed this year I am guessing. Told you punks we should have traded him last year.

I guess the first half could have been alot worse. This team tends to got hot later on anyway. I expand the same this year, especially with everyone coming back from injury.

I wasn't absolutely against trading Happ, but I wasn't on the boat that was saying he sucks and he's just extremely lucky. I think he's going to find a medium between where he was last year and where he is this year, being a decent #4.

I'm just sayin' he is probably a 4. But I doubt he'll have as good a career as Kentucky Joe. I know that is blasphemy to some of you but while Joe is having rough year he has proven him self as a solid 4 or fringe 3.

Anyone by chance listen to Mike & Mike this morning on ESPN radio? Buster Olney was filling in for Mike Golic and was analyzing the second half schedules for the NL contenders. When asked about what the Phillies were doing, Olney said Amaro is calling around and offering teams Ibanez. Shockingly, no one is biting. He also said Amaro is looking for a top-of-the-rotation starter, and that some sources within the organization admit they probably shouldn't have traded Cliff Lee (). But, wait, I thought we couldn't keep Lee if we wanted Halladay?

Anywho... once again, Roy Oswalt, please.

There is as much a chance to trade Ibanez than there is for the Pirates to make the playoffs.

I wouldn't mind Oswalt either.

I'm taking Corey Hart and his scientifically modified bat (http://www.jsonline.com/business/97244294.html). Don't know why, but I'm feeling pretty good about that bet.

So more stupid fan speculation, I read somewhere there were rumors of Werth banging Mrs Utley? Who the hell writes this crap anyway? First Carter now Jayson? We need to stop with this

That's a pretty brutal Derby lineup.

Yea I think its going to be a boring one. To make matters worse, this is the first year and a long time with no Phillies in.
