Too much lefty... I hate Jonathan Sanchez. He seems to have our number in games I've seen.

It may be a pitcher's duel, but I think our offense can score some runs off of Zito and Sanchez. Cain has always been a pain in the ass. I look forward to seeing Burrell and Rowand return.

I love it when we take a series from the Mets, especially in this manner and since I don't get to see the Phils that often livin here. Friday's game was rough - but a treat to watch if you like pitcher's duels, but they bounced back nicely yesterday and today - loved the base stealin all over.

Getting to my first game of the year on Saturday, can't wait.

I say we take the first and third games of the Giants series. Zito's good, but not that good. Cain on the other hand has been better than Lincecum this year. Blanton, well, is mediocre. If we get a run or two for Hamels, he should get the W with the way he's been throwing.

I like our chances Tuesday and Thursday, I think the offense will find a way to get something for Cole. Blanton vs. Cain, not so confident, but who knows.

Can't wait to see if the big guys come back this series. Personally I think it's a bit early and I don't want to force either of them, especially while we're still scraping out some W's, but if they're ready, we can definitely use them!

Still beats the hell out of facing Lincecum.

Is Utley coming back tommorrow? I heard that last night, but am taking it with a grain of salt because those two ESPN announcers seemed mildly retarded.

Maybe. He's playing in the first game of a double header for Clearwater, and then DHing in the second game later today. Knowing Utley, I wouldn't surprised at all to see him in the lineup tomorrow.

I also heard he was coming back tomorrow, and apparently Howard is probable for later this week.

Lincecum has played like crap lately. and Cain has played alot better then him this year for the most part.

On another note,

Quote:
Just like Strasburg a year ago, it appears that Harper and the Nationals will come down to the midnight Monday deadline in an attempt to reach a contract agreement. Harper, a 17-year-old slugger, is represented by Scott Boras, who is known for playing hardball during negotiations.

"If [Harper] wants to play here, he's going to play here," Strasburg said Sunday, after pitching five innings in the Nationals' win over Arizona. "He doesn't need advice from anybody to convince him otherwise. If he doesn't want to play here, then we don't want him here."

Shut the **** up kid. You did the same exact thing last year.

That Harper kid should be interesting. Apparently he's a real **** head. He hasn't even signed a contract yet and he has a bigger head than Manny.

I think that'll change quickly once he gets a buzzer near the head.

I kinda wish more pitchers still did that. The league has gotten pretty soft compared to the days when Nolan Ryan would bean someone just for trying to bunt.

You can't do anything anymore in sports. The "toughness" of the past is gone forever. Too much money to be lost by the shenanigans so no one will allow it.

I have heard he is pretty cocky, but he is well behaved and stuff. Just really confident in himself, as one can expect as he has always dominated whomever he has played, was on the cover of SI at a young age, then got picked #1.

I don't think Strasburg was referencing Harper as taking too long to sign, but rather the reporter went fishing for a feel-good quote for some fluff piece meant to put a smile on fans' faces. Frankly, if that's Strasburg's attitude, good on him and good for the Nats -- he'll be huge for them, but him being into being in that area and on that team is an even bigger plus.
