Toughy. Gomez is so important to bring the puck up the ice and without him gionta is not the same player. Plekanec is put into the most important situations though. I'd go with Pleks but its close.

Plek. Our best forward in the D-zone and he can score goal, I give the edge to Gomez for playmaking even if Plek is good too but I love how Gomez can carry the puck.
For the same cap hit I take Plekanec

Very tough...Plekanec is one of the most versitile and useful players in the league. I don't want to sound like a homer, but it's true.
That being said, I think Gomez is a guy that you win with moreso than Pleks. So I take Gomez.

I take Gomez simply because he's funnier in post game interviews.

Gotta go with Plekanec. He's got more of a scoring touch. The only thing Gomez has on Plekanec is how good he is at entering the offensive zone with the puck.

Plekanec. Although some might disagree, his workrate is unmatched on the team. Even when the team struggles, he is working hard. Even when he struggles personally (2008/09), he continues to work hard. Gomez might be more naturally talented, but Plekanec puts in a complete effort on a nightly basis. I prefer my players to have that trait.

I would say Gomez. More pure talent. Plekanec has never cross to me as a really talented player - just a very consistent one who play a simple but very effective game (and at the level Plekanec plays it's far from an insult).

I would say Gomez, just because he adds a couple more elements to the game that don't show up on the scoreboard.
I love both of them though, so happy to have both of these guys signed long term.
