Calgary-Montreal

Now, take into account that this trade would be made in the off-season and only if we get rid of Kotalik.

To Montreal:

David Moss
4th

To Calgary:

Andrei Kostitsyn

With Backlund and Jokinen as the top 2 centers again, I think it would be nice to acquire a creative offensive player in Kostitsyn to play with Backlund. Now this would only be for his RFA rights, so if we can sign him to aroud 3 million a year(hence why we get rid of Kotalik) he wouldbe a nice addition.

What are your thoughts?

Pretty sure MTL avoids this as AK had a strong game tonight paired with Gionta.

Your basing off-season moves on one game. Also I don't think AK was with Gionta, as they are both right wingers.

WHat is the reason for Montreal to do this unless they really dont want AK anymore?

Moss really has no value. He better starts doing something before his ass is permanently in the AHL soon

Interesting idea. See how the season plays out and what role Backlund eventually settles into. I would like to see trying Tanguay - Backlund - Iginla and see what happens as well. Try Backlund in many scenarios and see what kind of players would be ideal etc.

No way I want this soft, lazy 1 dimensional player.

We will be fine once everyone is back.

Mtl doesn't want Moss and a 4th for anything of value.

Andrei is having a good start to the season, and no way do they need another bottom 6 player. They have Ryan White, who by all means should have made the roster on the bottom 6, down in the AHL. I don't see them adding another one into that mix, and trading away somebody that has looked very good so far this season just doesn't make sense.

On top of that, to call Andrei one dimensional clearly shows that people haven't seen him play this year. He's been as solid defensively as he's been offensively so far. Whether that continues to happen, we don't know, but right now he's been one of the best players on the ice for the Habs.

Sorry, this is one major pass.

Not a chance the Canadiens make this deal.
