I really like these too. I did some alterations myself and made a couple different versions.
I think I like the version without the black ends the best ( more green and the perfect touch of black ).Either way I like em with the green helmets and socks.
As for the pants, I would go with the ones in the first pic with the DALLAS down the side, or these beauties...
Oooh you can get M11's in forest green too. I shoulda got that instead of maroon, but it's my school colors, so meh.
More in to the older ones - like the exact ones from the North Star days. Those ones look odd kinda. Just not too fond of the shape and the green is weird to me. If I can ever find an old school one like the North Star days I'm all over that !
Well, I wasn't sure where to post this, but since it's an OT Hockey thread, I figured this would work.
Anyway, I bought my wife a stars 3rd jersey and I had a question. Does anybody else have issues with the logo on the jersey and being too big? The logo is very crisp and pretty much goes from armpit to armpit at the top so it makes the jersey a bit awkward. When she's standing up its' fine, but any other time it makes the jersey really boxy. Do you guys have this issue or did I just buy a crappy jersey off of Ebay?
Yeah replica Stars jerseys have always had what feels like a giant logo crest. Since the backing for it covers all the space behind the STARS letters and the actual star shape it's going to be pretty big, especially on smaller jerseys with less fabric as you said. It's a bit more reasonably scaled on the authentics.
This Friday night when the Stars host the Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas will don green Reebok practice jerseys for pre-game warm-ups in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
Glad to see they are finally wearing a green jersey, even if they are just for warm-ups. Would be nice if they would do it permanently than just on St. Patrick's Day though.

Anyone know if these bad boys will be for sale? I kind of want one. So much green.
This is kind of apropos of nothing but I'm mildly obsessed with Cape Breton's (QMJHL) 3rd jerseys.
How sweet is that? That's how you do a wordmark. I love how the gloves have the yellow in them along with a tiny amount in the shoulder patch. How come no NHL team has tried wearing gray? The Kings could make this work.
those are pretty sharp, really like grey as the primary color. ecru is another color that doesnt get enough use. Both are nice change ups from bright white and dark colors
Just a sample of something I've been working on the past couple days
Still a lot left to be done
Trying to bring the Mooterus back
OK, don't take this the wrong way, but you've run into one of my pet peeves.
Why a bull? What does that have to do with Dallas? Fort Worth is Cowtown. Dallas is the anti-Cowtown. I don't blame you since you're not from here, but this is a problem that has seeped into real logos. FC Dallas' logo -- designed by an outsider. The Mooterus -- designed by outsiders. Outsiders projecting their own (mistaken) image of Dallas.
That's an good point Piqued, no real reason for the bull other than its something a bit more "tangible" than a star. I know it's the Stars not the bulls but believe me, I have tried to create a new Star logo without much success. The star is just so hard to make look "professional." Especially trying to incorporate more than one star without looking somewhat juvenile.
