That shield logo friggin' sucks. It looks like a half ass Kings rip off or something. I thought letting that dude play music was crime enough...and now this.
Didn't we hire one of the Kings music guys? Am almost positive we did.

I've been in a Graphic Design program for the last year and it looks like they just placed a shield behind the Star to make it look busier and had no other ideas. IMO that shield has no reason to be there, it has no meaning to us or anything. They could come up with something a lot better than that IMO. Unless there is a valid reason of why they got the shield I don't like it
If they go with some Cowboy/Rangers color scheme it will seriously damage the franchise. The fans want green. Attendance is already bad as it is. Add in a lockout and it just makes things even worse. Ditch green on top of that? Just another spit in the face.
I can't believe I didn't notice this until now, but the shield is just a knock-off of the NHL's Western and Eastern conference logos, only flattened out a bit.

at this point ill be pleasantly surrpised if they arent red/white/blue or cowboys ripoff. Hell I am surprised we have not heard any name change rumors.
Of course around these parts those are Mavs colors. Although I guess they've kind of migrated to a sky blue recently. I don't pay much attention to them.
I can definitely see Razor rooting for this. (and Brass Bonanza as the new goal song )

I'm going to laugh if after all this they end up doing what I originally suggested. That would make me happy, but I know there are plenty of people who only want to see dark green so I'd feel bad about that. I still think a lighter green would be a better move though. They could sell it as something new while still respecting their history and not flat-out alienating their remaining fans. I hope you meant Dallas Stars Green, not Kelley Green which is more North Stars.
I actually wouldn't mind the Gold being replaced by Silver, as long as the Stars keep there current Green, heck even swapping Black for Navy (as long as its a dark navy) isn't that horrible.
Something like RTstars11 3rd uniform would be OK.
Just keeping the Dark Green and no red would almost be a victory at this points

The Whalers possessed my all time favorite jerseys and color scheme. It would just be really odd to see something similar on my favorite team. Maybe the front office will just say Eff it and change our name to the Dallas Whalers
I could get behind a whalers like color scheme, at least moreso than red white and blue. It is sort of Canucksy but if green is dominant instead of blue it wouldnt feel like a ripoff.
