Classic concept, great piece of work! It reminds me of *** splatters under UV light a la CSI!
As a side note I'm a bit of a Jacksonville Jaguars fan (I know). They introduced this teal glitter effect into their black helmets a season or two ago. Nice touch but it was very subtle. This is perhaps less so, and nicely tied to the goal spotlight.
Was on NHL 11 and decided to design a new Dallas Stars jersey concept. Not many great jersey designs but it's just an example. Let me Know what you think!

Forgive my incredibly amateur execution — I did this in an awful rush, but what if you did that North Stars sweater knockoff, but tried to mix the two eras into one logo?
About 6 months ago I bought a Jordan Staal jersey that was one of those Chinese knockoffs, and despite all the negative comments I heard of the jerseys, I was nothing but impressed. I even compared mine to one at the Penguins store at the CEC and a near perfect match. With Dallas being my second favorite team, I would really like to get a jersey. Unfortunately, I cannot find any jerseys of Robidas or Loui. Anyone know any sites that have them?

Reebok says the Stars are looking to launch a brand new third sweater. And most of us are hoping they run far away from their current look.
Dallas may have been the hardest hit by the transition to Reebok Edge in 2007. They went from having a beautiful and unique set of sweaters to some of the blandest in the league. And green almost disappeared entirely.
Currently, the Stars wear a black jersey and a white jersey, each of which simply has the word "DALLAS" arched above the sweater number — not too unlike the Thrashers' current third. They're trimmed in gold and only the white uniform has any hint of green. Their third jersey (right) is the only one with any kind of a logo on the front.
Now it seems they're finally ready to advance the brand and add something new. (Let's just hope it's not a black version of the present third.) I think we're all anticipating something in green, a color that's slowly but surely returning to the NHL after an absence that went on too long.
Maybe even a new logo to go with the green? So long as they learned their lesson from the "Mooterus" (left). That lesson being, don't get too cute with your logo or it will come back to bite you.
Let's be honest, anyone who's ever opened up a sixth grade health class textbook would recognize that shape without a second look. We can all pretend it's the constellation Taurus, but no one is being fooled here. Not even Trevor Daley.
Not only that, but what's with the red? That's never been in their color scheme. And they don't need it. They already have two great colors in green and gold.
The point is, the Stars don't have a good track record with third jerseys. Keep in mind that the current road jersey was their most recent try at an alternate design. And it was terribly lacking in creativity, obviously. Maybe the next try will put an end to that streak.
Well they're wrong about the current road jersey.
Current road (logo) was the one they used originally right after the sweater change. They introduced the DALLAS roads in 08-09 as a 3rd. Then went to it fully as the road jersey last season. And now we're back to the logo as the current road jersey.

i like the overall design, it has alot of potential. I think it needs some black stripes along the big white stripe like the original dallas stars jerseys had pr maybe it should be gold. anyway very nice
Actually I really like it. Whether or not it's even doable with the new jerseys, I don't know.
why wouldnt it be? i really thikn the biggest issue was that the jerseys were going to be much tighter and therefore look very strange with certain designs. Since everyone ended up wearing jerseys that were tighter but still fairly loose i dont see a problem with basically any design.
