I still don't think that D logo works at all. A big component of the North Stars' N was the fact that there was a gap between the letter and the star which created the arrow. On this it just runs on behind it, even peeking out conspicuously underneath the bottom of the star. Beveling the star is another mistake. The Texas Rangers do it and it looks fine in silver. Then the Blue Jackets copied them. Do we really need to be copying the Blue Jackets copying the Rangers? None of our others stars are shaded that way, other than the truly horrible Cedar Park knock-off. It's especially out of place when you look at the letter next to it with no comparable depth effects other than a very small drop shadow. It also would invariably perpetuate the insipid "Big D" nickname that everyone who isn't from here loves to use. I like the jersey patterns. The new compromise shade of green is appealing. I do prefer white numbers though for readability.
im not a huge fan of the D logo but i love the designs of these jerseys. I really like the gold numbers. The whites could use a little more green, imo. I think it would look good if there was green between the elbow and torso stripes. Id also like to see a concept based around the london knights ecru jerseys.

Pretty awesome man. I love the green and the whites, not as much the black one. I'm also not a fan of that often seen D symbol, though I have a "hunch" theyre at least considering it.
I would like to see your unis with the 3 stars down the side of the pants rather than the DALLAS ( which is still cool ) as well as with green helmets to go with the home unis. Just my preferences. But they look great and would be better than what we have now for sure.
I think my faves may still be that retro green done up in the previous mock-ups though, but all of the last 3 are great.

It definitely works for Brampton. But it's more of an army type feel. That's just not us. Good effort though. I love seeing all the different ideas.

Ya that's disappointing for sure. I was looking forward to seeing the green, yellow and white 80s style unis. Guess they'll have to wait until 2012-13.
There's really no telling what the new ownership will want. They may hate that idea and go back to the drawing board. Remember, it won't just be a new owner, there will also be new execs in all facets of the organization, most definitely including sales and marketing.

That's true. I'm hoping they don't change it up though because it does make sense to still go with it. Retro is in so let's strike while the iron is hot. Surely the new owner will realize that. Not to mention, if it ends up being Gagliardi, he's 43 so he'll remember the North Stars years quite well and that could play a role.
Honestly, it's nice but I wanna keep the green gold and black. I really hope the owner decides to scrap the jersey's we got now and and start from scratch and bringing back our old look (green, gold and black). Once we have green back, then maybe we could have an alternate jersey similar to the one that is on Razors blog ..
The NHL logo comparison is the opposite of our situation. People here want to see more color, not less.
Tampa Bay's rebranding was child's play compared to what he's suggesting. The Lightning dropped one color, silver. Everything else is the same. They updated their logo because the old one was ugly as ****.
The Mavericks added 2 colors: navy and silver. But they kept their previous colors, royal blue and green. All that works together.
Trying to suggest that Dallas has any particular unified color palette is just plain wrong too. Red is THE power color? No major pro team that has played in Dallas county has worn red except for, hilariously, the Stars. It was roundly derided and rejected by fans.

This made me throw up a bit in my mouth... Besides, there are like a gazillion teams with the red/blue/white combination, we so don't need another one... And I would hate to lose the green, I mean, honestly, the green was literally the only reason I became a North Stars fan back in the day...
