A little help for a new guy

Good morning fine patrons of the HF boards. Kuato is relatively new to this place and still familiarizing himself with the various intracacies of this fine establishment.

He was wondering if there is a quick and easy way to find posts specifically addressed to him?

You remind me of Bob from the show Becker.

And I think the answer is no.

Ha he really does talk like bob, nice one
I dont care what anyone says, Becker was a good show. Ted Danson is the man.

Yea its a great show. I started watching because I went through and watched every episode of Cheers and wanted something else to watch. The Becker character is great.

Did you see Bored to Death on HBO last year with Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis, and Ted Danson? I thought it was pretty good

Kuato is not very familiar with that show. He knows of it, but never watched much of it, so he cannot determine whether it is a compliment or insult.

Really now? How primitive. One would expect such a simple feature on such a popular site.

Kuato could find all posts specifically addressed to him in the top right hand corner of the page in "Private Messages."

actually if you start the thread, than i THINK you can get notifications on it.
as for posts pertaining to you in a thread 35 pages long...well thats something I dislike about our forums system here as well. Crap tends to get in the way of actually having a decent discussion, so most of what you write will get lost in the garbage.

yea and if you are going to be writing every post in 3rd person i am going to need a doctors note saying you either have OCD, autism, or some other mental issue responsible for the abnoxious 3rd person writing style.
(and its clearly fake, because when i refer to someone in 3rd person i dont say their name repeatedly. kuato this, kuato this...how does this sound:
brian is known to enjoy brian's favorite snack: eggs made how brian likes them.
a little off eh?)

anyways, if you dont stop, or present said doctor's note, i'll have you killed by someone in desperate need of money. Got it kuato? Does kuato understand?

I'm not so sure I'd go so far as the contract killer, but I think I have to agree with most of this.

Welcome to the site, it's good to have you and I hope you enjoy your stay here. But you might wanna do yourself a favor and cut back on the third person unless you want to become the new running joke around here. Wolfy's been a little sparse.

Maybe someone other than Kuato is writing Kuato's posts for Kuato.

And here I thought I was the only one that was getting pretty ****ing annoyed with the 3rd person. Kuato, as a new guy asking for some help, if you want anyone to take you seriously on here, stop referring to yourself. Like infidel said, you'll become the new whipping boy on here, as it is not funny or entertaining.

He's a character that always refers to himself in the third person.
