Habs 25 under 25 prospects article

http://www.habseyesontheprize.com/20...5-under-25-5-2

Interesting read about our top 5 under 25...you can find the 6-25 there too but i was interested in this particular one most.

Im not sure if this guy is some scout with knowledge or just some "super fan" with a really neat-o website but he made some very interesting points id have to agree with and hadn't considered before.... I could not guess who number#1 was lol wonder if anyone else will blank like I did!

anyways he makes some great points. have fun tearing this guy a new one as I'm sure a FEW here might

#1: Carey Price------------#11: Jarred Tinordi-----------#21: Mac Bennet
#2: PK Subban-------------#12: Yannick Weber---------#22: Alexei Emelin
#3: Lars Eller--------------#13: Ryan White-------------#23: Andreas Engqvist
#4: Benoit Pouliot----------#14: Ben Maxwell------------#24: Brendan Gallager
#5: Louis Leblanc----------#15: Mathieu Carle-----------#25: Maxim Trunev
#6: Danny Kristo-----------#16: Aron Palushaj
#7: Max Pacioretti---------#17: Joonas Nattinen
#8: Alexander Avtsin-------#18: Gabriel Dumont
#9: Tom Pyatt-------------#19: David Desharnais
#10: Dustin Boyd-----------#20: Ian Schultz

I thought that David Desharnais was way higher than 19th (maybe 6-10). I wish 2-3 injuries this year that heal quickly so Desharnais could show to the world that it's possible to play in the NHL even though you're small. He probably watches the movie "Rudy" once a week to keep his moral up.

And I just can't believe that Kristo is ranked 6th (11-15 IMO). However, I like Kristo's personality. He was a 2nd round draft but he acts like he's a 1st round draft because we gave our 1st draft pick to Calgary in order to sign Alex Tanguay. The rest looks quite accurate.

Nattinen and Dumont too high IMO. Gallagher and Bennett too low.

Are you sure of that reason? It sounds totally illogical.

PK Subban, IMO, acts like a first-rounder, yet he was drafted in a year where we already drafted two real first-rounders.

I think the truth is simply that some first round draft choices drop in value afterwards, like Fischer and Chipchura, while others drafted later gain in value afterwards, like Subban, and hopefully Kristo.

If Eller is before Pouliot, I'd put Subban in front of Price too.

Kristo and Leblanc in front of Paccioretty? Pyatt and Boyd in front of Tinordi?

I'd have Leblanc and Kristo in front of Pacioretty for sure. I don't agree with either Boyd or Pyatt in front of Tinordi though.

I don't reallly like the list but it's very hard to compare guys in the NHL vs guys that were just drafted.

Well he turns 24 in 3 weeks but yea he's still young. I do wonder what we are going to see from him this year in his first full season with us.

Agreed on Nattinen and Dumont. I wouldn't have Gallagher too high as I think he needs to be faster. Bennett I consider one of our top prospects so I'd have him much much higher.
