Don't you people love when you don't notice a class you took starts till a later date? That happened to me today. I go to my school, and then to the classroom and it's pitch dark. I look on my class list to see if I'm in the wrong building, nope, I wasn't. So, I drive back to my house and login to my student account. Well it turns out it doesn't start till September 15th.

the conversion formula from Homercents to common cents is slightly more complicated than deriving E=MC2 from F=MA

Ok so I got home from class tonight at about eight oclock and someone was parked in my spot (which I pay $100 a month to park in). The lot is right behind a church and is often confused with a church parking lot. I found a spot right around the corner so it isn't that big of a deal, and I am assuming after whatever function is going on at the church they will be gone. Its 9 now and they are still in my spot. Should I just say **** it and call a tow truck, or what?

We had that at my apartment senior year. We fit 9 cars in our lot like this:

| | | | | |
_ _ _

Someone parts in the horizontal and blocked a roommate in when he wanted to leave. We called 2 tow trucks and neither wanted to come out to our place...wtf. Guy eventually left.

Anyway, it's 9PM, people still doing things. Does your spot have a sign on it saying "Private Parking?" If not, I'd let it go for now. If it does, tow his ass.

I say leave a sign on the car telling them that god is going to punish them in some way for stealing from thy neighbor.

That's not a bad idea. Keep his make, model, and license plate somewhere. Leave a note saying "I have your plate number. Next time your car gets towed." That'll get the point across.

Google Skymap is the coolest **** ever. yelp is handy, radarnow is good for instant weather radar and almost no load time, and laputa is a good book reader with a few classics..just set the background to black, and you can read it for hours. the tricorder app is a nifty timekiller

I paid 130 for a spot behind my place in college and a guy in a truck parked there for football weekend, I told him he couldn't park there it's a paid spot, he says "yeah, whatever". After the game he finds that all his lugnuts are in his truck bed, well, most of them. Drunk guy trying to put on lugnuts in the dark is rather amusing.

My only argument is if there's a "Private parking" or especially a "Cars may be towed at owner's expense" sign on it. If it isn't, they may not legitimately know it's a private spot. If there is, two the ****er.

That is just full of win. I'll have to remember that next time a friend as a problem like that.

I have friends who live in an apartment complex where parking is fair game (essentially a parking lot outside of their apartments). But parking is really tight, and not a lot of space. A lot of spots literally pull up to a door, giving you two feet to get out the front (and only) door of the apartment. It's an unwritten rule amongst the neighbors to keep those spots open to the person that lives at that apartment so they can give themselves space to get out of their place, and everyone normally is good with it. Visitors, not so much. Last weekend someone did it while we got back from the Rutgers game, and gave us two feet to get all our crap in. I hope the ***hole enjoys the scratches on his hood and bumper, because they deserves them.

I'm back home, and I survived Earl and a kid's wedding!!

Hurricanes are pretty interesting. I'm really glad Earl blew through Halifax quickly - by 4:00 you wouldn't know there was a hurricane near the hotel (and thankfully, the hotel didn't lose power the way a lot of the rest of the city did).

Dodging branches on the way to the hotel Saturday morning - not so much fun.

Excuse me one moment.

I was kinda going for time wise, and I don't trust using google or yahoo maps for time because of traffic and whatnot. So anyone who knows that area, if traffic normally bad, etc.?
I just got a call about a possible job, and if that **** takes more than 30-40 minutes, then eff that.

Traffic isn't usually too bad on the streets, but if you're looking to come from the turnpike it may be. There's a bunch of backways too if you're coming off of 95.
