Is it possible for wisdom teeth to regrow?

In November 2006, I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed. In the past few weeks or so however, I've started to notice that there's something beneath my gums on the bottom right side of my mouth where that wisdom tooth was pulled. It feels very odd but I remember this exact same feeling from before I ever had them pulled, and there's something definitely there when I run my tongue over that area of my mouth. The other three areas all feel perfectly normal, and completely different than the bottom right area does. I've never heard of anyone having more than 4 wisdom teeth removed, but I'm almost certain that it's a tooth I'm feeling.

If it is possible, is it rare for this to happen? I don't know if the oral surgeon messed up or what, but it's been almost four years now since I first had them removed, so I don't think that could be the case. I'm praying that the other three don't start coming back too.

I had a very rare "extra" tooth, so I had to get 5 wisdom teeth out. My 5th tooth was tiny. Maybe you have a similar thing?

Chicken pox twice... Or chicken pox once and then shingles there after?

Most likely the root or a bone splinter.

Your brain is growing from prolonged exposure to the internet (pure information overload triggers a genetic mutation that hijacks protein sequences from the rest of your body and converts it to increased brain matter). What is happening is that it's growing too large for your skull, splintering the skull, and the fragments are swimming around in your head cavity. You should usually feel a little bit of pain, but for the more advanced brains, a targeted serotonin release gland is developed alongside the first stages of this phenomenon. I guess you're one of the lucky ones.

In short, you need a skull enlargement procedure. They run upwards of $16,000. Since it is classified as a cosmetic procedure (messed up, I know), it is not covered by Canadian health care. Of course you could get a cheap one in Mexico but I can't guarantee your survival.

Good luck.

I've heard of people having 3 sets of teeth. As in they had their baby set, they fell out. Had their adult set, they fell out. And the grew their 2nd adult set.

Maybe you're one of those freaks

As mentioned above, it is probably part of the root or tooth fragments that were "left behind" after the surgery, finally have made their way up to the surface. I remember picking out bits of tooth for a few months after mine were out (think he just used a jackhammer on me).

Or, your brain is outgrowing your skull.

My girlfriend had chicken pox twice, my dad and I both never had it though. (Natural born immunity?)

As per extra teeth, I knew a dude once who had an extra tooth growing out of the roof of his mouth, it happens.

It can happen. I knew a girl that had 4 wisdom teeth pulled, 4 teeth grew back, had THEM pulled, and then during the time I was talking to her she had 4 more growing back. She was HAGGARD. I felt really bad for her.

I've heard stories of freak cases where people have 2 sets of wisdom teeth, but three? I call BS.

Yea I didn't know what to think either. But she was a wreck. Not sure why she would lie about something like that. She looked borderline suicidal because of it.

Thanks for the replies, I did schedule an appointment with the dentist next week to have an x-ray. I'm hoping that there's a chance that the tooth will just grow in normally and I won't have to get it removed, but I'm not counting on it.
