Oh, and I would have much rather have seen Jones left in and Coach Jr or Edu subbed out. A destroyer sitting in front of your defense is what you need against a team like Argentina. Edu is getting too far forward at times and pulled out of position. Coach Jr. is making to many positional errors as well as having an inability to take the ball away from any of the Argentine mids.
It is always funny, to see a team with one, maybe two players equal or better than those on the other side of the pitch, perform so well, look like winning on multiple occasions, and get a result. And the US gets results regularly against the competition you wouldn't think they could do so against.
good match, Agudelo looks like the real deal, he had a good first match for the Red Bulls two weeks ago. It was all Argentina in the first half but US recovered well in the second and had some chances of their own
Bradley's move was a good example of why I thought he belonged at Galatasaray. Jumping to the Prem is not always the best approach. Winning is good too and there aren't nearly enough Americans at clubs who are winning matches and near the top of the table. Gala are having a bad season right now but they'll bounce back.
USA played well in the 2nd half but Argentina just couldn't finish today. Di maria really shouldn't start Lavezzi too. I hoped to see Pastore play but he didn't. That 18 year old for the US looks good.
Argentina just played with them most of the 1st half.
I thought Gooch was bad (I think he will lose his spot soon enough). Spector was meh, even the new guy on the right, Timmy something (that German dude) was a little too slow for my liking.
Personally I thought Bradley was fine, he sorta looked like a Messi-spy at times and he closed down quick enough. Its Messi though, so he made him look stupid quite a few times but thats not really on him. His last 30 minutes were especially good imo.
Second and First half were night and day. I think its the two strikers, it has to be. Bradley should stop ****ing around and just go with the two up front, especially if Holden is out.
