Justin Falk...

I still think its wrong he's behind Haula when he is a lot closer to being NHL ready than Haula is. Just sayin'...

Where did Maxim Noreau go? He should be coming up before too long, at least before Kyle Medvec, etc.

Had to break up the Falk sweep so far. Khudobin has the potential for more than Falk.

But that's not the only criteria of ranking prospects. I bet in most opinions Haula's potential is much higher than Falk's.

This the twelfth-best prospect on the worst pipeline. We've already reached that point.

Voted Haula last time.

Now Falk. He looked pretty good in his callup. He's going to be a solid NHLer in the future, its his upside that is the question

I have Broda/Endras/Larsson/Zucker/Balmer as all tied, so I went Broda.

Oh because he had one good season in the USHL? Falk has an NHL frame and is a solid defender at the professional level, Haula isn't tiny but he has to produce offensively otherwise he doesn't bring much else to the table. We'll see how he does with the Gophers before we start endorsing Haula as some great hidden NHL prospect.

Anyone have any objections to calling this one for Falk?

Agreed.

Another person that I am surprised has dropped this far is Foucault. Yes, I am aware of his work ethic problems. But, we are talking about young prospects with potential and the probability of reaching that potential...Foucault has scored goals and looked good in the playoffs. I would think his skillset would rank him higher than some of the chosen players...for instance, Haula and Foucault's potential is probably a top 6 offensive forward, imo Foucault has had success in a tougher league and was more impressive at the past two prospect camps.

I see a lot of voting for the cool new assets over the dry old ones. I remember when everyone was happy Falk was in the system... now he's a dusty old has been that will suddenly amount to nothing.

It's being implied by the fact that Falk has fallen to the #12 prospect.

No offense against Cody Almond or anything, but if it wasn't for the simple fact that he played some NHL games last year, he'd be pretty far down the list considering his NHL projection.

To be fair HF has Falk as the #8 guy right now. And that doesn't include Granlund, Prosser, Wellman or the three second round picks. I do agree with you about Almond and a couple other positions on the list being off, but at this point it's a stretch to have Falk in the top ten.

Ok, it has more to do with who is ahead of him more than anything. I started laughing at the list when Gillies was suddenly our #7 prospect, with Hackett and Almond ahead of him. No fricking way!

Almond doesn't belong in the top 10, let alone top 5 IMO.

And that's fair, but I don't believe Falk's ranking (in terms of the number) is that far off. It really depends on how you see a couple prospects coming out.

I can agree with that... like I said, my gripe about him at 12 on this list had much more to do with who was listed as ahead of him.

With how distorted this list has become, it's almost a pointless exercise.

Honestly, I've been going with whoever struck my fancy that day. I have given no thought to the process. Like if I had Oatmeal Crisp with Almonds for breakfast, I voted for Cody Almond. I rank the prospects in my EHM franchise by listing them all in a spreadsheet, then moving them around until I like the order. No such effort goes into this.
