So how many points should we expect from Tinordi in the upcoming season? 35+?

On one hand, if Tinordi has yet to develop this side of his game, I don't see how he could start now.

On the other hand... if he can have the opportunity to log a lot of icetime, even on the PP, and the Hunters are ok with him making mistakes, then good for him! He won't have such a chance in the pro.

If Tinordi could one day potentially put up some points, while playing a solid, physical, shutdown game... at his size... could be awesome.

Hunter talks about plans for Tinordi

Quote:
He said he knew Jarred would become a quality player. “He’s a top defenceman, a big guy who can really skate,” Hunter said. “I saw him skate this morning with some pros, guys like Brian Campbell and Rob Schremp were here, and Jarred did not look out of place. For a young man of 18 with his skating ability, they were impressed. “I’m always encouraging the defence to jump into the play. That’s why guys like (Michael) Del Zotto, Carslon and (Dennis) Wideman, all the guys who came through here, were able to put up numbers. We want numbers from Jarred. With his skating ability, he can create offence from the back and that’s what we’re looking for.
Press conference to introduce him was today so more info should be available tomorrow

Corey Perry usually sets up a training camp for some former team mates and other NHL pros. It appears Tinordi must have taken part in prep for the charity 4 on 4 this Thursday. Tinordi fit in pretty good I guess

great read. I love how hunter seems really high on tinordi's skating and offensive potential, something we didn't necessarily count among the reasons we drafted him.

I'm thrilled to hear Hunter wanting Tinordi to put up numbers, they will use him more as a Tyler Myers/ Chris Pronger / Zdeno Chara mold. Play smart solid Defense but really chip in on the offense and find his touch.

Even if Tinordi gets 40 assists and 4 goals in the OHL i consider that a huge success.

There's a 90sec video on the Tinordi introduction today on the London free press website and what caught my eye is what Mark Tinordi said about what happen off the ice. i really believe the off ice incident at Notre Dame really help the Knights in getting Jarred over to London

If you're referring to other ND players getting fined or something for underage drinking (not sure on the specifics), I was just wondering yesterday night if that might have affected his decision.

Wonder what number he is going to pick for his LK jersey. As soon as that is known I will pick one of those up.

EDIT: Looks like it's number 4. Now just have to decide on home or away. Any suggestions?

I think this is a good thing for the Habs and Tinordi. He is going to get a chance to use his talents in a new way. They are going to give him a chance to work on this side of the game

I really hopes he gets paired with Scott Harrington. That kid is solid D and also very mobile. He got a goal and assist in the Hlinka tournament and by all accounts was one of the best D men in the tournament.

Tinordi is going to get a chance to work on a new facet of his game. It can only improve the package. I'll see how he looks playing 4 on 4 this Thursday against NHL players. It's not serious hockey but should be fun to see what he can do

Cool. I will probably make a serious bid for his game worn jersey at the end of the year. It's so freakin' big though I am not sure what I'll do with it!

If his skating, at his size, doesn't look out of place with Brian Campbell, ladies and gentlemen we have a gem...

And apparently there's an offensive dimension to his game we've yet to see. Very exciting!

Im really happy to hear they are going to give him every opportunity to work on his offensive game.. Like another posted before me alluded too, it's not something he'd have the luxury to work on if he was in pros. Now's the time to do it, and he still has time to really hone his skills out in the regard.

In my opinion for a player his age he shows a lot of poise defensively and is quite a head of the curve compared to many of his peers. His size sure helps, no question about that.

If he can end up putting up current-Hamrlik (4-5g,25-30pts) like offensive numbers but with solid defensive play with physical domination.. We'll have a real good player here, and if he can put up more then we've hit the jackpot.
