But I'm sure it's mostly swimming that helped - it's great for several reasons. 1, you don't sweat. 2, it's cool & refreshing, never get hot. And 3, it really works all of your body at once.
yeah. swimming works all body parts and builds all your muscles pretty much equally. good stuff.
ps. you do sweat. you sweat in the pool, and lose water, without really knowing it. thats why you need to drink a lot of water if you swim a lot.
pps. it does get hot. if you do ***** swimming, you don't.

another key, running. i run about 30 mins straight 3-4 times a week. it does good stuff.

i do almost every sport there is. soccer, volleyball, track/field, swimming, ect. i used to play hockey. excercise is the key to not being fat!

For some reason, I can't understand what word goes here. None of the 5 letters words I know make any sense there.

I never knew you were a girl

btw the key to not being fat... is a) genes b) what you put in your mouth c) working out

watching what you eat is far more important from working out...

Here is a link to an article where a couple of methods are described briefly:

http://exercise.about.com/cs/weightloss/a/bodyfat.htm

ďFor women, an acceptable percentage is between 25 - 31%. For men, it's 18 - 25%. Any number over that is considered obese. So, how do you find out what your body fat is? Below are the most popular methods for testing body composition.Ē

Iíve tried Hydrostatic Weighing, Calipers (aka, the Pinch Test) and of course looked at the worthless (probably more accurate if youíre not working out with weights and such) Body Mass Index. Have done the Calipers test a couple of times at the university Iím at and the Hydrostatic Weighing at a fitness centre when I was in the army. Would like to try the Bioelectrical Impedance too if I get chance.

Yeah the BMI is pretty useless. A few years ago my team had to take BMI/body fat tests to compare theirselves to other members of the team. The BMI test I took said I was overweight, but when I tested my body fat, I was under the acceptable range for women.

Right now I'm 5'9", 175 and haven't tested either since then because I just don't care. I feel healthy and I can still compete in sports, so that's all that matters to me.

Nope, It's almost my ideal weight. As long as I don't tip 130 or break into the near anorexic levels I'm content.
Always been overly concerned with my weight for some reason.
